Description (FI): DIGIFOR hanke tukee metsäalalle suuntaavan työvoiman taitojen ja osaamisen lisäämistä ohjelma-alueella. Hanke kehittää ja edistää digitaalisen oppimisen menetelmiä, kansainvälistä yhteistyötä sekä työelämän ja koulutuslaitosten välistä yhteistyötä.
Description (EN): DIGIFOR project aims to increase the skills and competence of future workforce in the forest sector in the programme regions. The project will promote digital eLearning methods, international cooperation and connections between the working life and higher education institutes in the programme area.

Проект развивает и продвигает методы электронного обучения, международное сотрудничество, а также более тесную связь между учебными заведениями и рынком труда.
Read more Achievements (FI): Metsäala kaipaa osaavia, motivoituneita ja innovatiivisia ammattilaisia hoitamaan, tutkimaan ja hyödyntämään metsävaroja. Projektin lähtökohtana oli tarve päivittää metsäalan opetusmetodeja mutta myös opinto- ja kurssisisältöjä vastaamaan paremmin työelämän tarpeisiin. COVID-19 pandemian puhkeaminen korosti digitaalisuuden ja paikkariippumattoman opiskelun tärkeyttä. DIGIFOR hankkeen kokonaistavoite oli kasvattaa tulevaisuuden metsäalan työvoiman osaamista ja taitoja Kaakkois-Suomessa sekä Pietarin ja Leningradin alueilla. Projektin tavoitteet saavutettiin yhdeksän aktiviteetin avulla. Pääaktiviteetit sisälsivät pedagogisen metodipohjan luomisen, opettajien valmennusta, virtuaalikurssien kehityksen ja pilotoinnin sekä MOC (Massive Online Courses) kurssien toteutuksen. Yksi aktiviteetti kohdentui oppilaitos-työelämä verkostoyhteyksien vahvistamiseen. Hankkeen lopputuloksena hankkeeseen osallistuneiden opettajien taidot tuottaa korkealaatuista virtuaalista oppimateriaalia ja käyttää digitaalisia opetusmetodeja kasvoi. Hankkeen aikana hankkeeseen osallistuneiden opiskelijoiden taidot ja osaaminen vastata työelämän vaatimuksiin kasvoivat. Yksi hankkeen saavutus on yritysten, järjestöjen ja yliopistojen verkosto joka toimii aktiivisesti metsäalan korkeakoulutuksen kehittämiseksi ohjelma-alueella.
Read more Achievements (EN): The working life in forest sector needs skilled, motivated, and innovative professionals to manage, research, utilize and protect forest resources. There was a need not only to update the teaching and learning methods but also curriculums and the content of the study courses to meet the working life needs. COVID-19 outbreak underlined how important is digitalization and possibility to learn online not depending on the place.
The overall objective of the project DIGIFOR was to increase the skills and competences of future workforce in forest sector in South-East Finland, St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region. The objectives of the project were achieved by nine activities. The main activities included a creation of the pedagogical methodological bases, coaching the teachers, the creation and piloting of the eLearning study modules and creation and implementation of Massive online courses (MOC). One activity strengthened the connection between HEIs and working life by creation of the network. As a result of the project the teachers’ skills to create high-quality eLearning materials and to use eLearning methods increased. During the project the students’ skills and competences to meet the needs of working life improved. One achievement is the network of enterprises, associations and universities functioning actively for the development of forest sector higher education in the programme area.
