Description (EN): Green InterTraffic project aims at elaborating effective measures for developing environmental and transport safety of the Intertraffic in the border areas. It will also apply innovative solutions and consider the climate change factors.

Задача проекта Green InterTraffic – разработать эффективные меры по развитию экологической и транспортной безопасности дорожного движения в приграничных районах с применением инновационных решений, а также с учетом факторов изменения климата.

Description (FI): Green InterTraffic hanke kehittää tehokkaita menetelmiä lisätä kuljetusalan turvallisuutta ja ympäristöystävällisyyttä raja-alueilla. Se hakee uusia innovatiivisia ratkaisuja, ottaen huomioon ilmastomuutoksen tekijät.

Achievements (EN):

Within the framework of the Green InterTraffic project, Russian and Finnish partners have developed a unified approach to calculate greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants from vehicles using different types of fuel and energy. The project implemented the four seasons thermal mapping measurement of the road E-18 and built the temperature profile of the road and forecast weather conditions along the road E- 18. Air quality measurements were made with Vaisala's innovative AQT sensors and based on the results, Air Quality Survey of the road E18 between Helsinki and Saint Petersburg -report was concluded, complemented with the report on the Health Risk Assessment of Human Exposure to Ambient Air Chemical Emissions from Scandinavia Highway Traffic. In addition, the project created the Road Pollution Assessment Methods and Environmental Load Reduction Approaches -training cource for distance learning.

В рамках проекта Green InterTraffic российские и финские партнеры разработали единый подход к расчету выбросов парниковых газов и других загрязнений от транспортных средств, использующих различные виды топлива и энергии. Выполнено термокартирование по четырем сезонам года на дороге Е18, построен температурный профиль и подготовлен прогноз погодных условий вдоль дороги Е 18. Измерения качества воздуха проводились с использованием инновационных датчиков AQT Vaisala, и на их основе подготовлен отчёт о мониторинге качества воздуха на международной автомобильной трассе Е18 между Хельсинки и Санкт-Петербургом», а также отчёт об оценке риска для здоровья населения при воздействии химических веществ, выбрасываемых в атмосферный воздух автомобильным транспортом, проезжающим по трассе «Скандинавия». Кроме того, в рамках проекта был создан учебный курс «Методы оценки транспортного загрязнения и подходы к снижению нагрузки на окружающую среду», проведено онлайн-обучение целевых групп.

Venäläiset ja suomalaiset kumppanit ovat kehittäneet Green InterTraffic -hankkeen puitteissa yhtenäisen lähestymistavan eri polttoainetta ja energiaa käyttävien ajoneuvojen kasvihuonekaasupäästöjen ja muiden epäpuhtauksien laskemiseksi. Hankkeessa toteutettiin neljän vuodenajan lämpökartoitusmittaus, rakennettiin tien lämpötilaprofiili sekä malli, joka huomioi sääolosuhteiden vaikutusta tien E-18 varrelle. Ilmanlaadun mittaukset tehtiin Vaisalan innovatiivisilla AQT-antureilla, ja tulosten perusteella valmistui Helsingin ja Pietarin välisen tien E-18 ilmanlaatututkimus. Tuloksia täydentää raportti terveysriskien arvioinnista ihmisten altistumiselle Skandinavian maanteiden liikenteen kemikaalipäästöille. Lisäksi projekti kehitti etäopiskelua tukevan Teiden saastumisen arviointimenetelmät ja ympäristökuormituksen vähentäminen -koulutusohjelman.

target value: Number of persons participating in environmental awareness raising activities: 70/70. Number of improved systems on water and waste management created: 2/2. Improved living environment by reducing air pollution for the areas of the transportation road St.Petersburg – Helsinki and neighbouring territories (%): 10/20. Transport safety improved for the road St.Petersburg – Helsinki (%): 20/20. Elaborated measures successfully demonstrated in pilot activities in Programme regions: 4/4. Number of measures accepted by stakeholders and further dissemination planned: 2/2. Benefits and information on Eco-Safety pilot measures disseminated for main target groups including cargo and passenger traffic operators, road management and maintenance services (number of actors involved): 20/20. Participations in the Green InterTraffic Conference: 50/50. Increasing business activities and international revenue in logistic and tourism sectors (number of activities): 6/6.
