Description (EN):

Overall objective(s): To intensify and deepen the cooperation in an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable way between Ivano-Frankivska region of Ukraine and eligible areas: Maramures region of Romania, Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg, Borsod-Abauj-Zemplén of Hungary. Main activities 1. Setting up the inventory of the contaminated soils with oil products for the established areas; 2. Deciding upon the area of study in the Maramures region and Ivano Frankivsk region; 3. Acquisition of equipments for analyzing soil samples, of reactives and laboratory supplies articles; 4. Acquisition of specialized books, IT and soft, analysis standards and office supplies articles; 5. Gathering soil samples in the areas of Muramures and Ivano Frankivsk counties; 6. Analyzing the level of oil products and others complementary indicators; 7. Creating the database. Lab data interpretation and correlation; 8. Creating the maps of contaminated sites in Maramures and Ivano Frankivsk selected areas;9 Editing the Informative Bulletin containing data about polluted sites in the two regions;10 Editing the Handbook of the depollution and fertilization technologies;11 Elaborating 3 Plans for the regeneration of the seriously/extended/limited damaged sites;12 Organizing 5 Conferences for disseminating the results, Signing 9 Partnerships;13 Extending the regional network of partnerships with 3 universities and 6 regional authorities, etc.

Achievements (EN):

1. The data base of the contaminated sites in the area Maramures - Ivano-Frankivsk counties. 2. Functional infrared spectrometry at APM MM and UNTPGIF. 3. The Technical Library of the Regional Center-UNBM and UNTPGIF endow with specialized books in Depollution, Fertilization Technologies and Environment Protection. 4. Two maps of the contaminated sites: one from the area Maramurtes, one from Ivano-Frankivsk. 5. Informative Bulletin about the selected area from Maramurtes- Ivano-Frankivsk counties. 6. Handbook of depollution and fertilization technologies of the soil polluted with oil products. 7. 3 Regeneration Plans for the seriously / extended / limited surfaces damaged sites. 8. Partnership agreements signed with 3 universities, and 6 regional authorities. 9. The “Regional cross-border partnership network” extended with 3 new regions. 10. The leaflets of the Project, Informative materials, posters, pro-environment actions. 11. The website of the project: www.environmentrouasoil.com. 12. The extended website www.environmentnet.ro of the regional network-with 3 new regions.
