Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to increase the efficiency and security of the Slovak-Ukrainian Border at the border crossing points Vysne Nemecke – Uzghorod, Velke Slemence – Mali Selmenci, Ubla – Malyj Bereznyj, Cierna nad Tisou – Solomonovo and Matovce. The specific objectives are to increase the operational capacity of border crossing points, achieve sufficient awareness of all stakeholders about their rights and duties and decrease the load of border crossing points. The main activities are: 1) Creation of suitable and sufficient technical and spatial facilities at border corssing points (Reconstruction of the roadUzhgorod – Vysne Nemecke; Reconstruction of border crossing point Velke Slemence; Modernization of customs controls on the border corssing points on Slovak-Ukrainian border (Vysne Nemecke, Ubla, Cierna nad Tisou, Matovce)); 2) Ensuring a sufficient level of information exchange; 3) Project management and monitoring.

Achievements (EN):

1. Discipline in the automobile border-crossing at the border crossing point Vysne – Nemecke – Uzghorod; 2. Suitable working conditions of staff assigned to the border crossing points affected by the project; 3. Harmonized system of border crossing between Slovakia and Ukraine; 4. Knowledge of legislative environment of foreign country by all stakeholders; 5. Balanced development of Slovak and Ukrainian broder crossing point.
