Description (EN): Bee-diversity creates an innovative cross-border system for improvement and monitoring of biodiversity in co-financed habitats, which allows sustainable and integrated management of ecosystems. This system will be implemented in 10 case studies for a total of 8000 hectares spread between Italy and Slovenia, structuring protocols and a joint model transferable to Europe even after project conclusion. Bee-diversity integrates, for the first time, the monitoring of the health status of the areas with a process of collection, sowing and diffusion of native herbaceous plants. Monitoring is done through pollinators (API) and through an innovative ICT system and an APP for the collection, management and aggregation of data, . The task is performed in Natura 2000 areas with the direct collaboration of owners, management companies and stakeholders (farmers, beekeepers, technicians, etc.). The APP shall allow communication both of technical information to professionals and for geberal public awareness-raising. In addition, Bee-diversity provides training and awareness-raising actions for companies, stakeholders and technicians in order to disseminate the application of the created protocols.
Read more Description (IT): Bee-diversity realizza un sistema transfrontaliero innovativo per il miglioramento e il monitoraggio della biodiversità negli habitat cofinanziati, che permetta il miglioramento, la gestione sostenibile e integrata degli ecosistemi. Tale sistema sarà realizzato in 10 casi studio per un complessivo di 8000 ettari diffusi tra Italia e Slovenia, strutturando protocolli e un modello congiunto trasferibile in Europa anche dopo la conclusione formale del progetto. Bee-diversity integra, per la prima volta, il monitoraggio dello stato di salute delle aree con impollinatori (Api) attraverso un sistema ICT innovativo e una APP per la raccolta, gestione e aggregazione dei dati, con un processo di raccolta, semina e diffusione di piante erbacee autoctone. Il lavoro è svolto in aree Natura 2000 con la diretta collaborazione dei proprietari e delle imprese di gestione e degli stakeholder (agricoltori, apicoltori, tecnici, etc..). Attraverso la APP il progetto comunicherà con modalità differenti, informazioni tecniche agli addetti ai lavori e informazioni generali per sensibilizzare la popolazione. Inoltre Bee-diversity prevede azioni di formazione e sensibilizzazione alle imprese, agli stakeholder e ai tecnici in modo da diffondere e formare all’applicazione dei protocolli realizzati.
Read more Description (SL): Projekt Bee-Diversity uvaja inovativen čezmejni sistem za izboljšanje in monitoriranje biotske raznovrstnosti v projekt vključenih habitatov, kateri naj bi zagotovil izboljšanje ter trajnostno in celostno upravljanje ekosistemov. Navedeni sistem se bo izvajal v 10 študijah primerov na skupaj 8000 ha površin na območju Slovenije in Italije, z oblikovanjem protokolov in skupnega modela, ki bo prenosljiv v Evropo tudi po formalnem zaključku projekta. Pri projektu Bee-Diversity gre za prvi primer dopolnitve monitoriranja zdravstvenega stanja območij z opraševalci (čebelami) z inovativnim sistemom IKT in spletno aplikacijo za zbiranje, upravljanje in grupiranje podatkov skozi proces nabiranja, sejanja in širjenja avtohtonih zelnatih rastlin. Dejavnosti se bodo izvajale na območjih Nature 2000 z neposrednim sodelovanjem lastnikov ter upravljavskih podjetij in deležnikov (kmetovalcev, čebelarjev, tehnikov itd.). Preko spletne aplikacije bo projekt pristojnim subjektom na različne načine posredoval tehnične podatke, prebivalstvu pa splošne informacije za njihovo osveščanje. Poleg tega so v okviru projekta Bee-Diversity predvidene aktivnosti usposabljanja in osveščanja za podjetja, deležnike in tehnike. Njihov namen je posredovanje oz. razširjanje pripravljenih protokolov in prilagoditev le-teh za potrebe spletne aplikacije.

The main result of the project consisted in realizing protocols and a system for the innovative management and improvement of biodiversity. The development of a model developed for integrated ecosystem management to enable beekeepers farmers and stakeholders to develop environmentally and economically sustainable methods. This system was implemented in 10 case studies for a total of 8000 hectares spread between Italy and Slovenia structuring protocols and a joint model that can be transferred to Europe even after the formal conclusion of the project. Bee-diversity has promoted an innovative system for connecting hives using ICT software to promote monitoring of environmental quality and biodiversity through bees which play a fundamental role in the conservation of the so-called spontaneous flora through an innovative ICT system and an APP for the collection management and aggregation of data with a process of collection sowing and dissemination of native herbaceous plants. Furthermore BEE-DIVERSITY has worked in Natura 2000 areas with the direct collaboration of the owners and management companies and stakeholders (farmers, beekeepers, technicians, etc.) and through the APP the project has communicated in different ways technical information to insiders and general information to sensitize the population. Ultimately the project has favored the restoration of local plant biodiversity and its correct management ensuring better protection of ecosystem services located in areas with naturalistic-environmental value.

The development of a model for integrated ecosystem management is pursued through protocols and action plans for the sustainable management of biodiversity in stable meadows, procedures for collection and dissemination of native spontaneous herbaceous plants seeds, as well as through collection of good practices on biodiversity conservation and enhancement. The aim is to allow beekeepers, farmers and stakeholders to develop environmentally and economically sustainable methods. This system will be implemented in 10 case studies for a total of 8000 hectares between Italy and Slovenia and a joint model shall be transferable elsewhere in Europe even after the formal project conclusion. Bee-diversity promotes an innovative system of connection of hives through an ICT software to monitor environmental quality and biodiversity through bees. Bees have a fundamental role in the conservation of the so-called spontaneous flora. An innovative ICT system and an APP will be created for collection, management and aggregation of data, altogether with collection, sowing and dissemination of native herbaceous plants. In addition, BEE-DIVERSITY works in Natura 2000 areas with the direct collaboration of owners, management companies and stakeholders (farmers, beekeepers, technicians, etc ..) and through the APP the project will communicate to technicians and to promote awreness raising to general public. Tramite protocolli e piani d'azione per la gestione sostenibile della biodiversità nei prati stabili, le procedure per la raccolta e la diffusione delle semenze di piante erbacee spontanee autoctone, la raccolta delle buone pratiche di conservazione e valorizzazione della biodiversità si raggiunge lo sviluppo di un modello sviluppato per una gestione integrata degli ecosistemi per consentire agli apicoltori, agli agricoltori e alle parti interessate di sviluppare metodi sostenibili dal punto di vista ambientale ed economico. Tale sistema sarà realizzato in 10 casi studio per un complessivo di 8000 ettari diffusi tra Italia e Slovenia, strutturando protocolli e un modello congiunto trasferibile in Europa anche dopo la conclusione formale del progetto. S protokoli in akcijskimi načrti za trajnostno upravljanje biotske raznovrstnosti stalnih travnikov, s postopki za zbiranje in razširjanje semen avtohtonih divjih zelnatih rastlin ter z zbiranjem dobrih praks ohranjanja in izboljšanja biotske raznovrstnosti pridemo do razvoja modela celostnega upravljanja ekosistemov in se tako čebelarjem, kmetovalcem in zainteresiranim stranem omogoči, da razvijejo okoljsko in ekonomsko vzdržne metode. Navedeni sistem se bo izvajal v 10 študijah primerov na skupaj 8000 ha površin na območju Slovenije in Italije s ciljem oblikovanja protokolov in skupnega okoljskega modela, ki bo prenosljiv v Evropo tudi po formalnem zaključku projekta. Pri projektu Bee-Diversity gre za inovativen sistem povezovanja panjev/čebelnjakov prek programske opreme IKT za spodbujanje monitoringa kakovosti okolja in biotske raznovrstnosti s pomočjo čebel, ki so ključni dejavnik ohranjanja t.i. samonikle flore: gre za inovativen sistem IKT in spletno aplikacijo za zbiranje, upravljanje in grupiranje podatkov skozi proces nabiranja, sejanja in širjenja avtohtonih zelnatih rastlin. Poleg tega Projekt BEE-DIVERSITY deluje na območjih Nature 2000 z neposrednim sodelovanjem lastnikov, upravljavskih podjetij in deležnikov (kmetovalcev, čebelarjev, tehnikov itd.): preko spletne aplikacije bo projekt na različne načine pristojnim subjektom posredoval tehnične informacije, prebivalstvu pa splošne informacije s ciljem osveščanja. Nazadnje bo projekt pripomogel k obnovitvi lokalne rastlinske biotske raznovrstnosti in pravilnemu upravljanju le-te, zagotovil bo boljše varovanje ekosistemskih storitev, lociranih na naravno in okoljsko pomembnih območjih.
