Description (IT): Lo scopo principale è contribuire a rendere più stretta la collaborazione e aumentare il coordinamento tra i due paesi nella gestione del territorio, garantire una gestione delle risorse più efficiente, lo sviluppo sostenibile e il rafforzamento della competitività. L’obiettivo generale riguarda il rafforzamento della cooperazione istituzionale stimolando gli attori chiave a creare delle soluzioni congiunte per affrontare le sfide comuni e accrescere l’intensità della collaborazione nel Carso grazie allo scambio di esperienze e il trasferimento di buone prassi nell’area di Programma. Nell’ambito del progetto strategico CARSO-KRAS è stato evidenziato che l’integrazione dell’area omogenea del Carso potrà essere raggiunta con l’istituzione di un geoparco transfrontaliero quale strumento di sviluppo per l’utilizzo sostenibile delle risorse. L’approccio innovativo di valorizzazione e interpretazione del patrimonio basato sull’inclusione, la formazione e la messa in rete degli stake-holder locali e promozione di nuove idee imprenditoriali aumenterà l’identificazione dei soggetti locali con l’area e ne accrescerà la riconoscibilità. Il piano di gestione transfrontaliero e le soluzioni congiunte sono una soluzione originale per lo sviluppo sostenibile del Carso a favore dei gruppi target.

The project shall stimulate key players to create joint solutions for common challenges and increase the intensity of cooperation in the Karst thanks to the exchange of experiences and transfer of good practices. The strategic project CARSO-KRAS highlighted that the creation of the homogeneous area of the Karst can be achieved with the establishment of a cross-border geopark for the sustainable use of resources. Read more Description (SL): Glavni namen je prispevati k tesnejšemu sodelovanju in večji usklajenosti med državama na področju upravljanja območja, zagotavljanja učinkovitejšega varstva virov, trajnostnega razvoja in krepitve konkurenčnosti. Splošni cilj je okrepitev zmogljivosti institucionalnega sodelovanja s spodbujanjem ključnih akterjev k oblikovanju skupnih rešitev za skupne izzive z namenom povečanja intenzivnosti sodelovanja na Krasu z izmenjavo izkušenj in prenosom praks na programsko območje. V strateškem projektu KRASCARSO je bilo ugotovljeno, da bo integracija homogenega območja Krasa dosežena z vzpostavitvijo čezmejnega geoparka, kot razvojnega orodja za trajnostno rabo virov. Inovativni pristop vrednotenja in prezentacije dediščine, ki temelji na vključevanju, izobraževanju in mreženju lokalnih deležnikov ter spodbujanju novih podjetniških idej, bo povečal identifikacijo lokalnih subjektov z območjem in njegovo prepoznavnost. Čezmejni upravljavski načrt in skupne rešitve predstavljajo izvirno rešitev za trajnostni razvoj Krasa v korist ciljnih skupin.

Project summary:
The project has contributed to strengthen institutional cooperation and increase coordination among the two countries in land and resources management, sustainable development and competitiveness. The project has stimulated key players to create joint solutions for common challenges and increase the intensity of cooperation in the Karst thanks to the exchange of experiences and transfer of good practices. The strategic project KRAS-CARSO highlighted that the creation of the homogeneous area of the Karst can be achieved with the establishment of a cross-border geopark for the sustainable use of resources. The innovative approach of heritage valorization through inclusion, training and networking of local stake-holders and promotion of new business increased the identification of local actors with the area increasing its recognition. A cross-border management plan and joint solutions are the key for the sustainable development of the Karst in favor of target groups.
Main results:
The first expected key result of the project was the Act for the establishment of the cross-border geopark of the Classic Karst which constituted the basis for the formal legal constitution of the cross-border geopark, for cross-borde management and sustainable development. The document shall have to be adopted by the Municipal and Regional Councils, therefore a cross-border agreement was needed for defined a protocol for the adoption of the act. Another important result was the adoption of 2 shared solutions aimed at ensuring greater connectivity, coherence and coordination in the management of the area: the first was the Cross-border Management Plan, the second was an innovative interpretation of the heritage for a more effective governance. The Geopark, in fact, will operate on the basis of the Cross-border Management Plan to ensure project sustainability, conservation of natural and cultural heritage, crossborder integration of local stakeholders and offers. In the project was also preparared the candidature for the inclusion in the UNESCO Geoparks Network. The second solution's outputs were: the creation of a shared brand, the delivery of guidelines for quality certification, activation of educational and tourist programs, an integrated information system, implementation of a visitors regulation, new business ideas, qualified tourist guides, geo-routes, etc. At the same time, a wide collaboration was established with the Province of Venice for geology, for exchange of experiences and practices and the transfer of practices that were implemented within the project on the Karst to the Veneto area.

Expected Results (SL): Okrepiti zmogljivosti institucionalnega sodelovanja s spodbujanjem javnih organov in ključnih akterjev na območju Matičnega Krasa k oblikovanju skupnih rešitev za skupne izzive.
Expected Outputs (IT): Il primo risultato chiave del progetto sarà l’Atto di istituzione del geoparco transfrontaliero del Carso Classico che costituirà la base per la costituzione giuridico formale del geoparco transfrontaliero, consentendo in questo modo di raggiungere la cooperazione e la gestione transfrontaliera e lo sviluppo sostenibile. Il documento dovrà essere adottato dai consigli comunali e da quello regionale, pertanto verrà stipulato un accordo transfrontaliero nell’ambito del quale verrà definito il protocollo per l’adozione dell’atto.
Un altro risultato importante del progetto saranno le 2 soluzioni condivise atte a garantire una maggiore connettività, coerenza e coordinamento della gestione dell’area al fine di aumentare l’intensità della cooperazione: la prima sarà il Piano di gestione transfrontaliera, mentre la seconda sarà la soluzione pilota per la costituzione di un’interpretazione innovativa del patrimonio per una governance più efficace. Il geoparco, infatti, opererà in base al Piano di gestione transfrontaliero che assicurerà la sostenibilità del progetto, la conservazione del patrimonio naturale e culturale, l'integrazione dell’offerta e l'integrazione degli stakeholder locali su entrambi i lati del confine. Nell’ambito del progetto sarà inoltre predisposto il dossier per la presentazione della candidatura per l’inclusione alla Rete dei Geoparchi UNESCO. La seconda soluzione prevede vari output: marchio territoriale condiviso, linee guida per la certificazione di qualità, programmi educativi e turistici, sistema informativo integrato, regolamento per i visitatori, nuove idee imprenditoriali, guide turistiche qualificate, geo-percorsi, ecc. Al contempo verrà stabilita un'ampia collaborazione con la Provincia di Venezia sul tema della geologia, che sarà utilizzata per lo scambio di esperienze e pratiche e il trasferimento delle pratiche derivanti dalle attività di progetto sul Carso verso l'area Veneta.

Read more Expected Outputs (SL): Prvi ključni rezultat projekta je Akt o ustanovitvi čezmejnega geoparka na območju Matičnega Krasa, ki predstavlja podlago za pravno formalno ustanovitev čezmejnega geoparka, s čimer bo doseženo čezmejno sodelovanje in upravljanje ter trajnosti razvoj. Dokument bo potrebno sprejeti na pristojnih svetih občin in dežele, zato bo v tej zvezi v sklopu projekta sklenjen čezmejni sporazum v okviru katerega bo določen protokol za sprejem akta. Drugi ključni rezultat projekta je prispevati dve skupni rešitvi za zagotavljanje večje povezanosti, skladnosti in usklajenosti upravljanja območja z namenom povečanja indeksa intenzivnosti sodelovanja. Prva skupna rešitev je čezmejni upravljavski načrt, druga pa pilotna rešitev vzpostavitve inovativne interpretacije dediščine za bolj učinkovito upravljanje teritorija. Geopark bo namreč deloval na podlagi čezmejnega upravljavskega načrta s čimer bo dosežena trajnost projekta, ohranjenost dediščine, povezanost ponudbe ter povezanost lokalnih deležnikov z obeh strani meje. V sklopu projekta bo pripravljen tudi dosje za oddajo kandidature za članstvo v UNESCO mreži geoparkov. K drugi skupni rešitvi bo prispevalo več dosežkov, kot npr. skupna teritorialna znamka, smernice za certifikat kakovosti, edukativni in turistični programi, integriran informacijski sistem, kodeks za obiskovalce, nove podjetniške ideje, usposobljeni turistični vodniki, geo-poti, itd. Hkrati pa bo na temo geologije vzpostavljeno širše sodelovanje, in sicer s Pokrajino Benetke, kar bomo izkoristili za izmenjavo izkušenj in praks ter prenos prakse iz projektnih aktivnosti na Krasu na območje Veneta.
