Description (EN):

This project connects all the hospitals in the Alpine arc facing the problem of severe frostbite by identifying a specific sector. It improves the initial management of this functional high-risk pathology by allowing hospitals to contact a reference centre. At the same time, it allows patients to be included in the evaluation of a new cross-border therapeutic protocol to explore the value of hyperbaric oxygen therapy in severe frostbite. Undisputed specialists in the management of cold and mountain pathologies, HUG and HPMB see, through this project, an valorisation of their old collaboration by allowing the pooling of their resources. Once this study has been completed, and if the study confirms the therapeutic value of the technique, the collaboration must logically continue.

Ce projet met en réseau l’ensemble des hôpitaux de l’arc alpin confrontés au problème de gelures graves En identifiant une filière spécifique. Il améliore la prise en charge initiale de cette pathologie à fort risque fonctionnel en permettant aux hôpitaux de contacter un centre de référence. Dans le même temps, il permet l’inclusion de patients dans le cadre de l’évaluation d’un nouveau protocole thérapeutique transfrontaliers visant à explorer l’intérêt de l’oxygénothérapie hyperbare dans les gelures graves. Spécialistes incontestés dans la prise en charge des pathologies du froid et de montagne, les HUG et les HPMB voient, par ce projet une valorisation de leur collaboration ancienne en permettant une mutualisation de leurs moyens. Une fois cette étude terminée, et si l'étude confirme l'intérêt thérapeutique de la technique, la collaboration devra tout logiquement perdurer.
