Description (EN): Road Maintenance Business project will study and develop organisation of road maintenance, especially in winter conditions, involving Russian and Finnish construction and industrial enterprises and public sector.

Description (FI): Road Maintenance Business hankkeessa tutkitaan ja kehitetään tienpidon järjestämistä, erityisesti talviolosuhteissa, yhteistyössä venäläisten ja suomalaisten rakennus- ja teollisuusalan yritysten ja julkisen sektorin kanssa.

Проект Road Maintenance Business нацелен на изучение и совершенствование организации содержания дорог, особенно в зимних условиях, с участием российских и финских строительных и промышленных предприятий и государственных организаций.

Achievements (EN):

The main objective of the project «Road Maintenance Business» was to improve the organization of maintenance business on the roads of the Leningrad region in Russia. In the framework of the project, a new methodology for road maintenance was created. Recommendations of the organization of procurement, technical regulations for the operation of roads and a list of necessary equipment were prepared as well as proposals of relevant resolutions of the Leningrad Region government were developed. In addition, equipment for the automated meteorological monitoring system was purchased and installed at several sites in Leningrad region. New available weather data will help, among other things, in assessing the quality of road maintenance work on regional roads through year. Project increased also the competence of road maintenance experts of Leningrad region with seminars that were provided by Finnish and Russian road experts.

Achievements (FI):

“Road Maintenance Business” hankkeen päätavoitteena oli parantaa teiden kunnossapitoa Leningradin alueella Venäjällä. Hankkeessa kehitettiin uusi metodi teiden kunnossapitoon. Kehitetty metodi sisältää suosituksia hankintojen toteuttamiseen, teiden käyttöön liittyviin teknisiin säädöksiin sekä välttämättömiin laitehankintoihin. Asiakirja sisältää lisäksi suosituksia Leningradin alueen aluehallinnolle uusista ratkaisuista ja menettelyistä teiden hoitoon liittyen. Tämän lisäksi hankkeessa tehtiin laitehankintoja, joilla voidaan kerätä tietoa ja valvoa paremmin teiden sääolosuhteita ja täten parantee teiden kunnossapitoa. Lisäksi hanke tarjosi seminaarien muodossa lisäkoulutusta Leningradin alueen teiden kunnossapidosta vastaaville asiantuntijoille suomalaisten ja venäläisten asiantuntijoiden toimesta.
