Description (EN):

The project objective is to develop and introduce innovative environmentally-friendly technologies in nature/urban environment promoting efficient management of protected areas and parks and the development of tourism and leisure opportunities. Latvian and Russian border regions are rich with joint culture, environment and nature which could be interesting information for a tourist and local people. Within the project it is planned to build different types of viewing towers with demonstration centres and the green pavilion, equip them with smart renewable energy technologies (the Green Towers). The produced electricity will be used for the energy efficient (LED type) lightening system in and around the Green Towers. Around the Green Tower the attractive sport and leisure infrastructure will be installed.

Projekta mērķis ir inovatīvu videi draudzīgu tehnoloģiju ieviešana dabā/pilsētvidē, veicinot dabas aizsargājamo teritoriju un parku efektīvu izmantošanu, kā arī tūrisma un brīvā laika pavadīšanas iespēju attīstīšanos. Latvijas un Krievijas pierobežas reģioni ir bagāti ar kopīgu kultūru, vidi un dabu, kas varētu būt interesanta informācija tūristiem un vietējiem iedzīvotājiem. Projekta ietvaros plānots uzbūvēt dažāda veida skatu torņus ar demonstrēšanas centriem un zaļo paviljonu, kas tiks aprīkoti ar viedām atjaunojamo energoresursu tehnoloģijām (Zaļais tornis). Saražotā elektroenerģija tiks izmantota energoefektīva (LED tipa) apgaismojuma nodrošināšanai. Zaļā torņa tuvumā tiks uzstādīta sporta un atpūtas infrastruktūra.

Цель проекта - внедрение инновационных экологически чистых технологий на природе/ в городской среде, содействие эффективному управлению парками и развитие туризма и возможностей для отдыха. Приграничные регионы Латвии и России богаты общей культурой, окружающей средой и природой, которая может быть интересной информацией для туристов и местных. В рамках проекта планируется построить смотровые башни с демонстрационными центрами и зеленый павильон, оснастить их умными возобновляемыми источниками энергии (Зеленая башня). Произведенное электричество будет использоваться для энергосберегающей (светодиодной) системы освещения. Вокруг Зеленой башни будет установлена привлекательная спортивная и досуговая инфраструктура.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The Green Towers will be installed in four sites: one in Rujiena (viewing tower), one in Cesis (viewing tower), one in Kingisepp (green pavilion) and one in Gdov (viewing tower). The Green Towers will be equipped with smart solar energy technologies. Produced renewable electricity will be storage in accumulators and later used for energy efficient (LED type) lightening and alarm and video systems in the project sites. There also will be developed 4 leisure and sport areas.
