Trakų ir Gižycko apylinkės pasižymi vaizdinga gamta ir išskirtinėmis kultūros paveldo vertybėmis, todėl tikslinga imtis bendrų veiksmų regiono kultūros ir gamtos paveldo pritaikymui turizmui. Pagrindininis projekto tikslas - skatinti turizmo augimą prisidėdamas prie Trakų ir Giżycko rajonų patrauklumo Uždaviniai: 1. Pritaikyti turizmui kultūros ir gamtos paveldo objektus 2. Inicijuoti bendras veiklas, skirtas tarpvalstybinio turizmo plėtrai Laukiami rezultatai ir poveikis: Projekto metu numatomas kultūros ir gamtos paveldo objektų - nenaudojamo žemės sklypo Trakų rajono senamiestyje ir dviračių tako vietoj nenaudojamo geležinkelio bėgių Giżycko rajono savivaldybėje - pritaikymas turizmui. Taip pat numatomos bendros veiklos sukurtos infrastruktūros panaudojimui: mokymosi vizitai, aktyvaus turizmo stovyklos, šeimų savaitgaliai. Laukiamas poveikis – padidėjęs apgyvendintų turistų skaičius Trakuose ir Gižycko vietovėse. Paramos gavėjai: 1. Trakų rajono savivaldybės administracija. 2. Giżycko valsčius. Projekto biudžetas: 999 463,50 EUR, kurį sudaro 85 proc. ERPF parama ir 15 proc. paramos gavėjų įnašas.

The overall objective of the project "Reveal of Trakai and Gizycko heritage for tourism" - stimulate the growth of tourism by contributing to the attractiveness of Trakai and Giżycko districts. Immediate objectives: 1. Adapt cultural and natural heritage sites for tourism; 2. Launch mutual activities for cross border tourism development; Expected outputs and results: Under the frames of the project, cultural and natural heritage sites - empty land plot in old town in Trakai district municipality and bicycle path instead of unused railway track in Giżycko rural municipality will be adapted for tourism. Also mutual tourism activities will be launched for exploitation of sites adapted: study visits, active tourism camps, family weekends. Outputs will result in increased number of tourists accommodated in Trakai and Giżycko areas. Project budget: 999 463,50 EUR.

Ze względu na wyjątkowe i malownicze walory przyrodnicze oraz kulturowe Trok i Gminy Giżycko, należy podjąć wspólne działania w zakresie efektywnego wykorzystania kultury i dziedzictwa regionu oraz dostosowania go do rozwoju turystyki. Ogólny cel projektu - stymulowanie rozwoju turystyki przyczyniające się do zwiększenia atrakcyjności rejonu trockiego i giżyckiego. Cele szczegółowe: 1. Dostosowanie obiektów dziedzictwa kulturowego i przyrodniczego do potrzeb turystyki. 2. Rozpoczęcie wspólnych działań na rzecz rozwoju turystyki transgranicznej. Oczekiwane wyniki i wpływ: W ramach projektu obiekty kulturowe i przyrodnicze - pusta działka na Starym Mieście w Trokach oraz nieużytkowany nasyp kolejowy w gminie Giżycko, zostaną dostosowane do potrzeb turystyki. W ramach wzajemnej turystyki zostaną uruchomione działania z wykorzystaniem nowo wybudowanej infrastruktury: wizyty studyjne, obozy rekreacyjno sportowe, rodzinne weekendy. W wyniku wspólnych przedsięwzięć zwiększy się liczba turystów zakwaterowanych w rejonach trockim i giżyckim oraz wydłuży się sezon turystyczny. Beneficjenci: 1. Administracja Samorządu Rejonu Trockiego, 2. Gmina Giżycko Budżet projektu:999 463,50 EUR, składający się z 85 proc. wsparcia finansowego z EFRR oraz 15 proc. wkładu własnego beneficjentów.

Achievements (EN):

During the project partners installed pavement tracks in Trakai, 100 sq. m. square for gatherings and recreation, new wooden bridge and repaired an old one for water attraction services, equipped territory with benches and trash bins for picnics and recreation, installed lightning of the territory, video surveillance. The municipality of Giżycko built a 8,24 km long bicycle path along the closed railway embankments, equipped with recreational facilities: shelters, benches, tables, baskets, bicycle racks and information boards. Partners also organised summer and winter camps promoting sport, active tourism.
