The overall objective of the project is to improve the quality of education in schools with specializations in wood manufacturing through cross-border cooperation to support creation of new career potential in Sighetul Marmatiei (Maramures County, Romania) and Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine) over a period of 12 months.

Expected Results (EN):

Students participating in the joint training workshops, including: - Romanian students in Sighetu Marmatiei - Forestry Technological Highschool of Sighetu Marmatiei, specialization in wood manufacturing – ages 14 - 18. - Ukrainian students in 3 schools in Kolomyia: M. Hrushevskyi Kolomyia Gymnasium, Kolomiya Educational Complex №9 School and Serhii Lysenko’s Secondary School №4, specialization in wood manufacturing, ages 10-17. Teachers specialized in wood manufacturing that will participate in the project activities (joint training workshops and drafting Handbook of good practices): Romanian teachers from LB and Ukrainian teachers from 3 schools in Kolomyia: M. Hrushevskyi Kolomyia Gymnasium, Kolomiya Educational Complex №9 School and Serhii Lysenko’s Secondary School №4.

Expected Outputs (EN):

Tuning the schoolwork classrooms of 4 schools with specializations in wood manufacturing in Sighetu Marmatiei (Maramures County, Romania) and Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine) during a period of 7 months. Ensuring adequate physical conditions for developing practical activities related to wood manufacturing is one of the fundamental conditions in improving the quality of education in schools with specialized activities related to wood manufacturing. In all four schools included in this project the existing equipment and tools in schoolwork classrooms are out-of-date and this has two effects on the activities that can be developed there: a) the activities themselves as well as the final products are outdated and b) it is not safety to be used. Improving skills related to wood manufacturing for 24 students and 8 teachers in schools of Sighetu Marmatiei (Maramures County, Romania) and Kolomyia (Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine) in a joint training program on a period of 4 months. Implementing a joint awareness campaign to flag new career potential in modern wood business during a period of 7 months, aiming to gather an audience of 100 persons in 2 campaign conferences.
