The following achievements will be reached: developed energy audits studies and energy management with the application of new technologies and innovations for local communities and locations; improved regional situation of the sustainable use of energy in the cross-border area due to effective and innovative energy solutions in communities provided as a result of cooperation with the universities and professional institutions. The strategic approach in energy efficiency will be introduced and the activities aimed at promotion and providing support to researches and innovations in the field of energy efficiency will be harmonised on the EU and non-EU sides of the border.

Achievements (EN):

The two “Innovation Centers” are running programs to develop students' skills in the use of modern technologies and innovative solutions in the fields of mechanics, electricity, electronics with the help of CNC machines, virtual reality glasses, educational robotic arms, humanoid robots or 3D printers.

Expected Results (EN):

1. Establish a communication environment between Ukrainian and Romanian Partners - universities and NGO - with regional companies to use joint academical research and innovation potential for real needs of companies, to improve exchange of good practice, the opportunities for cooperation over innovations. 2. Support of researchers and students in developing new competencies in modern technologies: 3D printing - scanning, virtual reality for modeling, robots manipulation, CNC machines, renewable energies. 3. Creation of opportunities for students to acquire new competencies for innovation, involving researchers and students in performing joint research activities and innovative projects, increase the quality of students projects by creating competition premises and promote the technical higher education through students' projects among high school students.

Expected Outputs (EN):

70 SIR members are involved in data collection and database management. The SIR core of the activity will be the information system as a common point of access for the association of researchers, enterprises and all stakeholders. This access point will be permanently displayed in the info space. Number of researchers from the two regions joined to “Ro-Ua Society of Innovators and Researchers" (Ro-UaSIR); 35 Researchers will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the real production tasks and carry out relevant innovative projects for the region. Number of companies’ development and research project ideas registered in Project’s Data Base; 40 Researchers and students increase the level of competencies by studying information from developed guides and acquiring practical skills in using equipment in the process of performing educational tasks. Number of researchers and students trained in usage of modern technologies; 2 enters are created as structures with modern equipment. The Ivano-Frankivsk Center needs infrastructure development. The Baia Mare Center is created on the basis of existing infrastructure. At the same time, units are created in the structure of partner organizations. To ensure effective management of the centers, an adaptive case management system (ACM) is being introduced. Number of Centers of Innovation and Development (CID); 20 researchers and students using new technology equipment in their projects; 12 student projects developed with new technologies; 40 high school students included in CID programme.
