Description (EN):

City transport is facing the challenges posed by the new technologies and by the undergoing socioeconomic and demographic changes, seeking for more efficient solutions and mobility services tailored to citizens’ new travel behaviors and needs. TRIBUTE project aims at creating and testing integrated innovative tools and actions in the Adriatic-Ionian (AI) cities, by means of the creation and the implementation of eight living labs on sustainable urban mobility. These will be the mean to discuss transport policies and solutions (best practices), and to share views about the future needs following a participatory approach involving governmental institutions, businesses, researchers, and citizens (i.e. the quadruple helix). The results will converge into eight action plans and pilot actions including innovative and sustainable solutions ranging from innovative public transport and on-demand responsive services using electric vehicles, to “green” cycling routes network and integrated management systems of public transport and cars along highly congested corridors. In so doing, TRIBUTE will promote transnational cooperation between public authorities and their transport entities, allowing for the creation of a transnational strategy devoted to policymakers and planners towards new mobility agendas for sustainable, integrated, and inclusive transport system in the AI Region.

Achievements (EN):

TRIBUTE Transnational Strategy: A common Transnational Strategy for sustainable urban mobility in the cities of the Adriatic-Ionian (AI) Region has been defined: this has been rooted in the results of the implemented project activities, related deliverables, and outcomes. Particularly, the Strategy considers the key findings from TRIBUTE project analyses, concerning: - socio-demographic changes and travelers’ behavior in the AI Region; - recommendations from the Action Plans, also including the analysis of best practices and policy guidelines in the three main areas of intervention of the TRIBUTE project, i.e. innovative public transport services, green cycling route network, and management of highly congested road corridors; - policy recommendations about the transferability of TRIBUTE results and outcomes to other cities in the AI region. TRIBUTE Transnational Network Tribute Transnational network has been set up to promote a coordinated sustainable mobility strategy within the Adriatic-Ionian Region, to ensure project results transferability, and to share experiences, best practices in transport and mobility. Participation to the Network is open to public and private stakeholders involved in the fields of urban transport and mobility, as well as climate change, energy and land use issues associated with urban transport and mobility. The Transnational Network reinforces the relevance of the inclusive and participatory approach behind the TRIBUTE project, extending the cooperation started among the TRIBUTE partners and stakeholders, beyond the project, in terms of in scope, membership and time. To this purpose, the Transnational Network is assumed to continue operating after completion of the TRIBUTE project, for at least 5 years up until 2028.

Expected Results (EN): Level of capacity of organisations in the field of transport and mobility to transnationally plan and implement sustainable and multimodal transport and mobility solutions

Expected Outputs (EN):

TRIBUTE project will contribute to most of the Programme expected results (4 out of 6). In fact, ththe development of eight Action Plans, TRIBUTE aims at promoting the common understanding among PPs and the potentials deriving from the adoption of sustainable urban mobility solutions, while competencies/skills of stakeholders and involved parties will be enhanced through the creation of n. 8 local living labs in which all stakeholders could have a role and share ideas and inputs for an actual implementation of innovative and environmental-friendly solutions. In addition, the realization and set-up of one different pilot action in each involved AI city will increase the number of opportunities for multimodal, environmental-friendly and low carbon transport and mobility infrastructures and services, also demonstrating that current transport behaviors could be addressed and shifted to new ones. Finally, working in a cooperative and collaborative way within TRIBUTE project, it will be possible to define and create harmonized infrastructures, tools and management structures to be also spread out within ADRION Programme area after the end of the project and therefore adopted by interested AI cities, metropolitan areas and/or other public authorities. Summarizing what above, TRIBUTE will be able to contribute to the result indicators fixed by ADRION Programme, in fact it is certain that the level of capacity of organisations in the field of transport and mobility to transnationally plan and implement sustainable and multimodal transport and mobility solutions will be increased and improved. This result will be also achieved thanks to the definition of a transnational Strategy devoted to policymakers and planners for revision and updated of transport policies (it is foreseen to sign jointly the Strategy within the TRIBUTE context, but future subscriptions outside it will be allowed).
