Description (EN):

The challenge to which CATCAR responds is to work in favour of social innovation by responding to changes in society's behaviour thanks to new technologies. CATCAR aims to offer European citizens an innovative digital service based on intangible heritage, articulated in two complementary axes: 1) the creation of a virtual platform that will contain the historical documentation related to Carolingian Catalonia, with reproduction of originals and cartographic recreation of this historical period 2) the creation of ludic and didactic applications, as well as immersive and interactive experiences for groups, which will help to revive the Carolingian era. The expected results are intended for two types of beneficiaries: a public of specialists, directly interested in History, such as students, teachers, academics, as well as technicians in territorial planning and in cultural heritage management; and a general and international public (virtual content will be freely accessible under a Creative Commons licence). CATCAR will be carried out in the Catalan space shared during the Carolingian period and now cross-border area. CATCAR faces social innovation through: research - innovation, digital world and new technologies - intangible heritage, public sector - private sector, general public - specialist public, etc. These binomials will be in permanent dialogue during the development of the project: this is where the originality of CATCAR's social innovation proposal lies.

El reto al que responde CATCAR es trabajar a favor de la innovación social dando respuestas al cambio de comportamiento de la sociedad gracias a las nuevas tecnologías. CATCAR tiene como objetivo ofrecer a los ciudadanos europeos un servicio digital innovador basado en el patrimonio inmaterial, articulado en dos ejes complementarios: 1) creación de una plataforma virtual que albergará la documentación histórica relativa a la Cataluña carolingia (reproducción de originales, recreación cartográfica) 2) creación de aplicaciones lúdicas y didácticas, así como de experiencias inmersivas e interactivas, que ayudarán a hacer revivir la época carolingia. Los resultados esperados van destinados a dos tipos de beneficiarios: un público de especialistas, directamente interesados en la Historia, como estudiantes, docentes, universitarios, así como a técnicos de planificación del territorio y de gestión cultural y patrimonial; así como, también, un público generalista e internacional (el contenido virtual será en acceso libre y bajo licencia Creative Commons). El proyecto se lleva a cabo en el espacio catalán compartido en época carolingia y hoy transfronterizo. CATCAR afronta la innovación social a través de una serie de binomios: investigación - innovación, mundo digital y nuevas tecnologías - patrimonio inmaterial, sector público - sector privado, público generalista - público especialista, etc. Estos binomios en permanente diálogo representan la originalidad de la propuesta de innovación social de CATCAR.

CATCAR répond au défi de travailler en faveur de l'innovation sociale en répondant au changement de comportement de la société grâce aux nouvelles technologies. Il a pour objectif de proposer aux citoyens européens un service numérique innovant basé sur le patrimoine immatériel, articulé en deux axes complémentaires : 1) la création d’une plateforme virtuelle qui hébergera la documentation historique relative à la Catalogne carolingienne (reproduction d’originaux et restitutions cartographiques) 2) la création d'applications ludiques et didactiques, ainsi que des expériences immersives et interactives, contribuant à faire revivre l'époque carolingienne par cette documentation originale. Les résultats attendus sont destinés à deux types de bénéficiaires : un public de spécialistes, directement intéressé par l’histoire comme les scolaires, les enseignants, étudiants, universitaires, des professionnels en planification territoriale et en gestion culturelle et patrimoniale mais aussi un public généraliste et international (le contenu virtuel sera accessible et sous licence Creative Commons). CATCAR prend place dans l'espace catalan partagé à l'époque carolingienne et aujourd'hui transfrontalier et relève le défi de l’innovation sociale par une série de binômes: recherche - innovation, monde numérique/ nouvelles technologies - patrimoine immatériel, secteur public - secteur privé, grand public - public spécialisé. Ces binômes en dialogue permanent constitue l’originalité de la proposition d’innovation sociale de CATCAR.
