The effects of climate change are being felt today in the daily life of breeders, on both sides of the Pyrenees. The professionals have to manage their farms by taking into account uncertainties in their economic and institutional environment and climatic conditions, and it is sometimes difficult to distinguish trends and climatic hazards. Trans-Pyreneans breeders are mobilized to evolve their systems to manage crisis and gain resilience. The organisms that support them (advisory bodies, technical institutes, research, local authorities, etc.) are testing and experimenting new solutions, solving specific needs, to improve the multi-performance of farms. Today there is a lack of a more global framework allowing actors to position themselves, to exchange between sectors and between territories, and to set prospects: the implementation of a cross-border strategy of adaptation of trans-Pyreneans livestock systems to climate change would be able to play this role. Available in four flagship productions of POCTEFA, this steering tool will be able to propose evolutionary trajectories to the current systems, to adapt to climate change, and to propose action programs, available to farmers and to economic and professional bodies and institutions that support them, to adopt new practices in a progressive manner. To achieve these results, the CLIM'AGIL partners intend to share innovations, strengthen knowledge, raise awareness, and evolve existing breeding models.

Los efectos del cambio climático ya son patentes en la vida diaria de los ganaderos de ambos lados de los Pirineos, quienes tienen que dirigir sus explotaciones teniendo en cuenta las múltiples incertidumbres de su entorno económico e institucional y condiciones climáticas en las que cuesta distinguir entre tendencias evolutivas y azares meteorológicos.Los ganaderos transpirenaicos se están movilizando para mejorar sus sistemas y conseguir una mayor resiliencia. Los organismos pertinentes (órganos consultivos, institutos técnicos, investigadores, autoridades locales, etc.) experimentan y ensayan nuevas soluciones, responden a necesidades precisas y concretas, y contribuyen a mejorar el rendimiento múltiple de las explotaciones. En la actualidad se carece de un marco global que permita a todas las partes interesadas del sector posicionarse, realizar intercambios entre sectores y entre territorios, y plantear perspectivas: la implementación de una estrategia transfronteriza de adaptación de los sistemas ganaderos transpirenaicos al cambio climático podría desempeñar este papel. Adaptada a los territorios y dividida en cuatro producciones (carne y leche de vacuno, carne y leche de ovino) y en numerosos modelos de los sistemas implementados, esta herramienta de control propondrá trayectorias de evolución de los sistemas implementados para adaptarse al cambio climático, así como programas de acción a disposición de los agricultores y de los organismos, profesionales, agentes económicos e institucionales, con el fin de adoptar nuevas prácticas.

Les effets du changement climatique se font sentir dans le quotidien des éleveurs, de chaque côtés des Pyrénées, qui doivent piloter leurs exploitations en prenant en compte de très nombreuses incertitudes dans leur environnement économique et institutionnel et des conditions climatiques qui sont parfois difficile à distinguer entre évolutions tendancielles et aléas climatiques. Les élevages transpyrénéens se mobilisent pour faire évoluer leurs systèmes et gagner en résilience. Les structures qui les accompagnent (organismes de conseil, instituts techniques, recherches, autorités locales…) expérimentent des solutions nouvelles, répondant à des besoins précis et concrets, et contribuent à améliorer la multi-performance des exploitations. Mais il manque un cadre plus global permettant aux acteurs d’échanger entre filières et entre territoires et de se fixer des perspectives : la mise en place d’une stratégie transfrontalière d’adaptation des systèmes d’élevage transpyrénéens au changement climatique serait à même de jouer ce rôle. Décliné en quatre productions phares du POCTEFA, adapté aux territoires, cet outil de pilotage pourra proposer des trajectoires d’évolution aux systèmes en place et des programmes d’actions disponibles aux agriculteurs et aux organismes, professionnels, économiques et institutionnels accompagnant, afin d'adopter progressivement de nouvelles pratiques. Pour atteindre ces résultats, les partenaires du projet CLIM’AGIL veulent partager les innovations, renforcer les connaissances, sensibiliser et faire évoluer les modèles existants.
