Description (EN):

The goal of PROTEOblood is to optimize, to share and to exploit a set of state-of-the art technologies and resources through the coordination of academic and private partners of different POCTEFA territories, for the study of protein homeostasis in two prevalent subtypes of leukemia and lymphoma. PROTEOblood will generate innovative tools and technologies transferable to the development of personalized medicines against these diseases. We will establish a collection of patient-derived study models (organoids and xenografts) with the ability to recreate ex vivo the tumor micro-environment. Then, avant-garde proteomic approaches, associated with the analysis of system biology and the design of small molecules, will allow the complete characterization of proteinopathies, and the development of efficient and safe therapies that will be validated in the collections of organoids and xenografts. PROTEOblood will thus promote technological development, cross-border cooperation and the exchange of knowledge, facilitating the optimization of infrastructures and existing resources. Since the partners of PROTEOblood possess complementary capabilities illustrated by previous co-authorship in publications, patents and licenses, this project will undoubtedly increase the competitiveness and internationalization of the POCTEFA regions.

El objetivo de PROTEOblood es optimizar, compartir y explotar un conjunto de tecnologías y recursos de vanguardia a través de la coordinación de socios académicos y privados de diferentes territorios de POCTEFA, para el estudio de la homeostasis de proteínas en dos subtipos prevalentes de leucemia y linfoma. PROTEOblood generará herramientas y tecnologías innovadoras transferibles al desarrollo de medicamentos personalizados contra estas enfermedades. Estableceremos una colección de modelos de estudio derivados de pacientes (organoides y xenoinjertos) con la capacidad de recrear ex vivo el microambiente tumoral. Aproximaciones de proteómica de vanguardia, asociados al análisis de la biología de sistemas y el diseño de moléculas pequeñas, permitirán la caracterización completa de las proteopatías y el desarrollo de terapias eficaces y seguras que se validarán en las colecciones de organoides y xenoinjertos. PROTEOblood promoverá así el desarrollo tecnológico, la cooperación transfronteriza y el intercambio de conocimientos, facilitando la optimización de las infraestructuras y los recursos existentes. Dado que los socios de PROTEOblood poseen capacidades complementarias ilustradas por la coautoría anterior en publicaciones, patentes y licencias, este proyecto sin duda aumentará la competitividad y la internacionalización de las regiones de POCTEFA.

L'objectif de PROTEOblood est d’optimiser, de partager et d’exploiter un ensemble de technologies et de ressources de pointe grâce à la coordination de partenaires académiques et privés de différents territoires POCTEFA, pour l’étude de l’homéostasie protéique dans deux sous-types prévalents de leucémie et de lymphome. PROTEOblood générera des technologies et des outils innovants transférables au développement de médicaments personnalisés contre ces maladies. Nous établirons une collection de modèles d’études dérivés de patients (organoïdes et xénogreffes) capables de recréer le micro-environnement tumoral ex vivo. Des approches protéomiques d'avant-garde, associées à l'analyse de la biologie des systèmes et à la conception de petites molécules, permettront la caractérisation complète de protéinopathies et le développement de thérapies efficaces et sûres qui seront validées dans les collections d'organoïdes et de xénogreffes. PROTEOblood promouvra ainsi le développement technologique, la coopération transfrontalière et l'échange de connaissances, facilitant l'optimisation des infrastructures et des ressources existantes. Les partenaires de PROTEOblood possédant des capacités complémentaires illustrées par de précédentes publications, brevets et licences en co-auteurs, ce projet augmentera sans nul doute la compétitivité et l'internationalisation des régions POCTEFA.
