Increase the attractiveness of the regional, cross-border natural and cultural heritage by linking infrastructure, joint advertising and increasing knowledge of the spa park in Swinoujście and the Greiswald Animal Park

The common cultural and natural heritage is an extremely important basis for the sustainable development of the region. The main objective of the project is the preservation, promotion and development of the region’s common natural and cultural heritage. The goal is achieved by increasing the attractiveness of the common natural and cultural heritage of Poland and Germany. The use of opportunities arising from the joint cross-border cooperation and the geographical situation of the region creates cross-border information. The project goal will be achieved through the modernisation of the region’s tourism infrastructure and its networking as well as the joint promotion of the spa park in Świnoujście, Tierparks Greifswald e.V. The project partners intend to enrich existing tourist attractions with new historical contexts. The implementation of the project’s main objective is accompanied by activities that expand cross-border knowledge of the region’s common tourist offer by organising thematic activities and bus trips for all project partners in which the inhabitants of the assisted area of all ages will participate. Thanks to joint advertising activities, gaps in the cross-border thematic routes of the region are also closed. Project implementation leads to the achievement of the main product indices: 1. Increase by 29301 people (city Świnoujście -20 585, Tierpark Greifswald e.V. — 8716). 2. Number of supported measures — 28 p.m. (joint public support — 24 p.m., increased knowledge of tourism supply — 4 pcs.). The implementation of joint actions in the field of the development of the common natural and cultural heritage of the assisted area will contribute to the quality of life of the inhabitants, ensure the sustainable development of the region and make it more attractive. All project partners take advantage of the opportunities and opportunities offered by the border situation, which is mainly accompanied by an increase in the number of visitors and the further development of regional tourism. There is currently a demand in the tourism market for so-called combined offers, which allows the tourist to visit several attractive destinations in the region and learn about the presence of which he learns through the joint promotional activities. The implementation of the project fully corresponds to the current trend in the tourism market and at the same time creates a coherent cross-border tourist offer. The planned project tasks constitute an innovative solution in the region, as the project result will represent a new quality of cross-border cooperation in the form of the reciprocal integration of tourism infrastructure and the creation of an integrated cross-border offer of the spa park in Świnoujście, Tierparks Greifswald e.V. A new solution in the project is also the joint funding of all sites covered by the project implementation, as well as the implementation of joint trips and thematic activities at all project partners. The project will also address the identified general challenges of the region by integrating measures for economic growth and the development of social functions while preserving the natural balance. The new infrastructure created in the project framework and the region’s joint tourism offer fully correspond to the diagnosed needs of residents and visitors to the assisted area. The project locations connect a touristically interesting route (Greifswald-Swinemünde) nationally and independently of the season.

Das gemeinsame Kultur- und Naturerbe ist eine äußerst wichtige Grundlage für die nachhaltige Entwicklung der Region. Das Projekthauptziel ist die Erhaltung, Förderung und Entwicklung des gemeinsamen Natur- und Kulturerbes der Region. Das Ziel wird durch Attraktivitätssteigerung des gemeinsamen Natur- und Kulturerbes Polens und Deutschlands erreicht. Dank der Nutzung von Möglichkeiten, die sich aus der gemeinsamen grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit und der geographischen Lage der Region ergeben, wird ein grenzüberschreitendes Informationsangebot geschaffen. Das Projektziel wird durch die Modernisierung der Tourismusinfrastruktur der Region und damit ihrer Vernetzung sowie mit der gemeinsamen Förderung des Kurparks in Świnoujście, Tierparks Greifswald e. V. erreicht. Die Projektpartner beabsichtigen, bestehende touristische Attraktionen mit neuen historischen Kontexten zu bereichern. Die Umsetzung des Projekthauptziels wird von Aktivitäten flankiert, welche das grenzüberschreitende Wissen über das gemeinsame touristische Angebot der Region zu erweitern, indem thematische Aktivitäten und Busfahrten für alle Projektpartner organisiert werden, an denen die Bewohner des Fördergebiets aller Altersgruppen teilnehmen werden. Dank gemeinsamer Werbeaktivitäten werden auch Lücken in den grenzüberschreitenden thematischen Routen der Region geschlossen. Die Projektumsetzung führt zur Erreichung der Produkthauptindizes: 1. Steigerung der Besucherzahl der im Fördergebiet befindlichen Objekte, die zum Natur- und Kulturerbe gehören oder Touristenattraktionen darstellen, um 29301 Personen (Stadt Świnoujście -20 585, Tierpark Greifswald e. V. - 8716). 2. Zahl der geförderten Maßnahmen - 28 St. (gemeinsame öffentlichkeitswirksame Förderung - 24 St., Erhöhung des Wissens über das Tourismusangebot - 4 St.). Die Durchführung gemeinsamer Maßnahmen im Bereich der Entwicklung des gemeinsamen Natur- und Kulturerbes des Fördergebiets wird zur Lebensqualität der Einwohner beitragen, die nachhaltige Entwicklung der Region sichern und diese attraktiver machen. Alle Projektpartner nutzen die Chancen und Möglichkeiten, die ihnen die Grenzlage bietet, was vor allem mit einer Steigerung der Besucherzahlen und der Weiterentwicklung des regionalen Tourismus einher geht. Derzeit besteht eine Nachfrage auf dem Tourismusmarkt nach sog. kombinierten Angeboten, wodurch der Tourist mehrere attraktive Ziele in der Region besucht und von derer Anwesenheit er durch die gemeinsamen Werbemaßnahmen erfährt. Die Umsetzung des Projekts entspricht voll und ganz dem aktuellen Trend auf dem Tourismusmarkt und schafft gleichzeitig ein zusammenhängendes grenzüberschreitendes touristisches Angebot. Die geplanten Projektaufgaben bilden eine innovative Lösung in der Region, da das Projektergebnis eine neue Qualität der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit in Form der wechselseitigenVerflechtung der Tourismusinfrastruktur und der Schaffung eines integrierten grenzübergreifenden Angebotes des Kurparks in Świnoujście, Tierparks Greifswald e. V. darstellen wird. Eine neue Lösung im Projekt ist auch die gemeinsame Förderung aller durch die Projektumsetzung erfassten Orte sowie die Durchführung von gemeinsamen Ausfahrten und thematischen Aktivitäten bei allen Projektpartnern. Das Projekt wird auch den festgestellten allgemeinen Herausforderungen der Region gerecht, indem es Maßnahmen zum Wirtschaftswachstum sowie zur Entwicklung sozialer Funktionen unter Wahrung des natürlichen Gleichgewichts integriert. Die im Projektrahmen entstandene neue Infrastruktur sowie das gemeinsame Tourismusangebot der Region entsprechen gänzlich dem diagnostizierten Bedarf der Bewohner und der Besucher des Fördergebiets. Die Projektstandorte verbindet eine touristisch interessante Route (Greifswald-Swinemünde) überregional und saisonunabhängig .
