Digital transformation disrupts traditional value chains! This particularly concerns Danube region countries with their diversified regional economies and strong position in typical production sectors, which are still focused on unidirectional client-supplier relations. At the same time, there is an emerging need for experts in innovative fields as engineering, ICT, automation and robotics, which need to be upskilled for the new value chains. The MAIN OBJECTIVE of DanubePeerChains, therefore, is to empower Labour market Support Organizations (LSO) and Business Support Organizations (BSO) together with their target groups and further local high-potentials (entrepreneurs, SME employees, digitalisation specialists) in a joint capacity building and training approach to upskill to high-qualified jobs in the Danube region and to gain sustainable recognition as PEER-level collaboration partners in innovative transnational value chains. The partnership comprises 14 partners from 9 Danube countries (6 ERDF, 3 IPA) and 5 ASPs (+ENI) in a well-balanced mix of business and labour support organizations, tech.transfer centers, vocational/educational institutions and policy actors. Knowledge will be CAPITALIZED from DanuBioValNet, SmartFactoryHub, DigiTrans (all DTP), InnoPeer AVM (Interreg CE) and S3-4AlpClusters (Alpine Space) and UPGRADED with VALUE CHAIN aspects 1) to identify high-potential cooperation fields in digitalized value chains for project target sectors (metal industry, machine building, engineering, electro industry, electronics/robotics, ICT), 2) to introduce this innovative approach in collaborative capacity building measures for LSOs/BSOs, and 3) to upgrade existing technological and business model oriented trainings by integrating the value chain perspective and adapting them for the qualification demand of Danube area target groups.Regional Action Plans and Strategic Recommendations provide contributions to EUSDR PA8, PA9 and national S3 strategies.

RESULTS IN NUMBERS 1 comprehensive regional analisation focusing on labour market characteristics with the data of 9 countries 6 selected value chain profile 3 indepth analisation of the selected value chains 20 organized basic and specialist training in partner countries 256 participants in basic and specialist training 131 SME upskilled during basic and specialist training. 53 entreprises upskilled during basic and specialist training. 9 developed online course 870 learning hours through online learning platfrom 56 participants ont he online digital transformation training HANDBOOK In order to make the project results easier to review, the project handbook has been prepared. The book gives an insight into what the partnership has achieved: - Framework conditions for digital value chains - Toolbox for capacity building of L/BSO and specialists/entrepreneurs trainings - Pilot Action Implementation aimed at testing the capacity building and training methodologies - Transnational Strategy Roadmap and Regional Action Plans DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION TRAINING COURSES: A complete learning experience! DanubePeerChains’s online training materials bring together learning, growth, skills, and capabilities. This online training program is the compass to simplify the world of industry 4.0 across technology, organization, and value creation. Expected Outputs (EN):

To reach the set objectives, DanubePeerChains will capitalize methodologies and innovation support instruments that have been successfully piloted in related Interreg projects, thus bridging between the EU programmes from the Danube area to Alpine Space and Central Europe to deliver the following main results that cause a sustainable positive change of labour market and business conditions in the Danube macro-region: - The DanubePeerChains multi-level Qualification Curriculum in Key Competence Dimensions, covering advanced manufacturing technologies, human resource management, business model development in a value chain perspective, will be sustainably established across Danube countries, preparing a comprehensive knowledge and competence basis to enable Danube area SMEs+Entrepreneurs and industries for collaboration in transnational value chains. - The newly developed approaches for integrated labour-market and business relevant support activities will become good practice across the Danube area leading to more specific and target-oriented strategies and qualification measures to further qualify SME employees and entrepreneurs to local digitalization specialists, ready for the requirements of transnational value-chain cooperation. - Clear definition of cross-sectoral and transnational fields of collaboration targeted at digital transformation in the Danube countries will boost modernization of local industries, skill high-qualified specialists, improve the recognition of Danube area companies as peer-level partners in transnational cooperation which finally leads to economic growth in the Danube macro-region.
