Description (EN):

Project “Active tourism for sustainable use of natural heritage of the cross-border cooperation area” involves two partners from Lithuania-Poland cross-border area – Jonava District Municipality administration and Sejny Municipality. Tourism industry is facing challenges these days and solutions to them could sustainable tourism development in the cross-border area, promoting environmentally friendly, nature-based tourism and active lifestyle for the benefit of human health. For this reason the project for active tourism infrastructure development is initiated. Active Tourism is a new travelling philosophy that combines adventure, ecotourism and cultural aspects of a discovery tours. Active tourism in the cross-border area will be a novel initiative, which will help to attract tourists and individuals who travel to participate in active entertainment. Objective of the project is to stimulate the growth of tourism by developing infrastructure of active tourism in Jonava and Sejny in order to increase attractiveness of cross-border area. Because of newly developed tourism infrastructure the natural heritage of the cross-border region will be highlighted, active lifestyle will be promoted through experiencing adventures that includes physical activity, a cultural exchange and connection with nature. The project will be in line with sustainable development principle as it will achieve positive effect in economic, social and environmental areas of influence.

Projekt "Aktywna turystyka w oparciu o dziedzictwo przyrodnicze i kulturowe na obszarze transgranicznym" zostanie zrealizowany przez dwóch partnerów z polsko-litewskiego obszaru transgranicznego - Administrację Rejonu Jonava oraz gminę Sejny. Branża turystyczna stoi obecnie w obliczu wielu wyzwań, dla których rozwiązaniem może być zrównoważony rozwój turystyki w obszarze transgranicznym,oraz promowanie turystyki przyjaznej środowisku opartej na przyrodzie i aktywnym stylu życia z korzyścią dla zdrowia ludzi. Z tego powodu zainicjowany został projekt mający na celu rozwój infrastruktury turystyki aktywnej. Turystyka aktywna to nowa filozofia podróżowania, która łączy w sobie przygodę, ekoturystykę i aspekty kulturowe wycieczek odkrywczych. Turystyka aktywna w obszarze transgranicznym będzie nowatorską inicjatywą, która pomoże przyciągnąć turystów i osoby, które podróżują w celu uczestniczenia w aktywnej rozrywce. Celem projektu jest stymulowanie wzrostu turystyki poprzez rozwój infrastruktury turystyki aktywnej w Jonavie i Sejnach w celu zwiększenia atrakcyjności obszaru transgranicznego. Dzięki nowo powstałej infrastrukturze turystycznej zostanie podkreślone dziedzictwo przyrodnicze regionu transgranicznego, promowany będzie aktywny styl życia poprzez udział w przygodach obejmujących aktywność fizyczną, wymianę kulturową i kontakt z naturą. Projekt będzie zgodny z zasadą zrównoważonego rozwoju, ponieważ osiągnie pozytywny efekt w ekonomicznych, społecznych i środowiskowych obszarach oddziaływania.

Projekte "Aktyvus turizmas – darniam gamtos paveldo naudojimui Lietuvos-Lenkijos pasienyje" dalyvauja du partneriai iš Lietuvos ir Lenkijos pasienio teritorijos - Jonavos rajono savivaldybės administracija ir Seinų savivaldybė. Turizmo pramonė šiomis dienomis susiduria su iššūkiais, o jų sprendimai galėtų būti darnaus turizmo plėtra pasienio teritorijoje, skatinant aplinkai draugišką, gamtą tausojantį turizmą ir aktyvų gyvenimo būdą, naudingą žmonių sveikatai. Dėl šios priežasties inicijuojamas aktyvaus turizmo infrastruktūros plėtros projektas. Aktyvusis turizmas - tai nauja keliavimo filosofija, kurioje derinami nuotykių, ekologinio turizmo ir kultūriniai pažintinių kelionių aspektai. Aktyvusis turizmas pasienio regione bus nauja iniciatyva, kuri padės pritraukti turistus ir asmenis, keliaujančius dalyvauti aktyviose pramogose. Projekto tikslas - skatinti turizmo augimą plėtojant aktyvaus turizmo infrastruktūrą Jonavoje ir Seinuose, siekiant padidinti pasienio teritorijos patrauklumą. Dėl naujai sukurtos turizmo infrastruktūros bus išryškintas pasienio regiono gamtos paveldas, skatinamas aktyvus gyvenimo būdas, patiriami nuotykiai, apimantys fizinį aktyvumą, kultūrinius mainus ir ryšį su gamta. Projektas atitiks darnaus vystymosi principą, nes bus pasiektas teigiamas poveikis ekonominėje, socialinėje ir aplinkosaugos srityse.

Achievements (EN):

2 natural heritage objects have been promoted during the project implementation period - St. John‘s valley in Jonava and city center area in Sejny. 1 mountain bike trail and 1 roller skating track has been developed as a result of the project as well as a joint culture&tourism programme created. Partners organised 2 Sports camps for youth, 1 Family event, 1 Community ride festival, 2 Experience exchange visits and an international training.
