Logistische Wertschöpfungsnetzwerke sind komplexe Strukturen bestehend aus unabhängigen Unternehmenspartnern, den Beziehungen zwischen diesen und einer Vielzahl an Stakeholdern. Diese Netzwerke im Kontext des globalen Wettbewerbs überblicken oder optimieren zu können, ist besonders für KMU eine große Herausforderung. Der globale Markt kennt keine nationalen Grenzen und so erstrecken sich Wertschöpfungsnetzwerke auch über die gesamte Grenzregion Österreich-Bayern. In diesem Wirtschaftsraum existiert bisher kein grenzüberschreitendes Kompetenznetzwerk, mit dem Fokus der Analyse und Visualisierung von logistischen Wertschöpfungsnetzwerken. Diese Lücke soll gefüllt werden, indem ein Kompetenznetzwerk zu diesem Thema gestartet wird. Nach Erhebung des Status-Quo bei den KMU werden offene Fragestellungen auf Relevanz und Potential geprüft. Darauf aufbauend werden Fallstudien gemeinsam mit Unternehmen aus der Projektregion durchgeführt, die als Best-Practice Beispiele für andere Unternehmen stehen sollen. Ziel dieser Fallstudien ist die Erarbeitung und anwenderfreundliche Aufbereitung von Methoden (Analysen, Visualisierungen, Optimierungen), um entscheidungsrelevantes Wissen aus Netzwerkdaten zu extrahieren. Die Erkenntnisse daraus, sowie die notwendigen Kompetenzen ähnliche Projekte im eigenen Unternehmen wiederholen zu können, werden mittels Workshops in die Wirtschaft transferiert. Die Veröffentlichung der Fallstudien und Workshopinhalte dient als Basis für weitere Aktivitäten. Das Konsortium bringt neben der Expertise für Logistik und Supply Chain Management auch Grundlagenwissen in Machine-Learning und Operations-Research in das Projekt ein. Nur gemeinsam können die komplexen Methoden der Netzwerkanalyse so aufbereitet und vermittelt werden, dass KMU nachhaltig davon profitieren. Eingebettet in andere Projekte der Region, wie z.B. KMU 4.0, das KMU bei der digitalen Transformation unterstützt, kann dieses zur nachhaltigen Stärkung der Grenzregion beitragen.

Logistical value creation networks are complex structures consisting of independent business partners, the relationships between them and a large number of stakeholders. Looking at or optimising these networks in the context of global competition is particularly challenging for SMEs. The global market knows no national borders and thus value-added networks extend across the entire border region of Austria-Bavaria. So far, there is no cross-border competence network in this economic area, with the focus of analysing and visualising logistical value-added networks. This gap is to be filled by launching a competence network on this topic. After surveying the status quo among SMEs, open questions are examined for relevance and potential. Based on this, case studies are carried out together with companies from the project region, which should be best practice examples for other companies. The aim of these case studies is the development and user-friendly preparation of methods (analysis, visualisations, optimisations) in order to extract decision-relevant knowledge from network data. The findings from this, as well as the necessary skills to be able to repeat similar projects in your own company, are transferred to the economy by means of workshops. The publication of case studies and workshop content serves as a basis for further activities. In addition to its expertise in logistics and supply chain management, the consortium also brings basic knowledge in machine learning and operations research into the project. Only together can the complex methods of network analysis be prepared and communicated in such a way that SMEs benefit sustainably. Embedded in other projects in the region, such as SMEs 4.0, which supports SMEs in digital transformation, can contribute to the sustainable strengthening of the border region.”

Expected Outputs (DE): Das Projekt bringt KMU mit Forschungseinrichtungen (den Projektpartner) zusammen, um gemeinsam und grenzüberschreitend Wissen und Erfahrungen über Analyse und Visualisierung von Logistiknetzen auszutauschen.
