Description (EN):

There are many fields of business with a serious labor shortage within the Croatian-Hungarian border region, thus it is very difficult for the SMEs to find suitably qualified workers. This is a serious problem which could lead to the migration of the skilled labor thus to the migration of businesses as well. Common problems require the synthesis of solutions. In the past period the partners continuously evaluated the labor market conditions and created strategic documents, analyzed the support starting a business and trainings (development plans at county level, economic and social analyses, labor market analyses, by the Chamber and of County Development and Training Committee ) . This led to the recognition (advanced objective trees beside strategic problem trees ) to stimulate the labor market process through cross-border activities, to propose and implement solutions which can contribute to the establishment of a successful common economic area. The project aims to improve the image of certain professions and to increase the number of the young people taking part in vocational training thus increasing the number of skilled workforce. The project contributes to the vocational education of the cross-border areas by innovative solutions which struggle with labor shortage (metal or electrical engineering professions). Attention is paid to the improvement of career guidance, to the supportof successful entry to the vocational training practice areas, furthermore to the promotion of participation in vocational training as well as to raise awareness of the importance of professional trainings. The project aims to make the current system of becoming an entrepreneur more efficient through innovative solutions and introducing e-learning methods. Subsequent to the assessment of the various professional needs we shall be involved in further training of teachers, corporate trainers and mentors in order to make vocational trainers connected to the the development of vocational training at the possible highest level, with practice-oriented approach. The project partners are planning a number of joint programs with significant professional history on both sides of the border. In Hungary, the Chamber of Commerce, as well as Baranya County, have got wide experience in training young people and supporting them to become an entrepreneur, likewise the partners in Osijek (TERA), or the Virovitica Development Agency. The intensive exchange of knowledge and experience is regarded necessary that aims, by involving the "Pecs-Osijek-Virovitica" triangle, to set up a virtual, cross-border “business training and entrepreneurial methodology center”. Since the difficulties listed above exist in both countries regarding the labor market, therefore joint responses are searched that help the further development of professional training by introducing innovative solutions to help the harmonization of training systems and the acclimatization of enterprise programs.

Achievements (EN):

The I-DARE project provided training about enterpreneurship and business plan making for high school students and vocational secondary school students as well as young adults. The jury selected the best 10 Croatian and Hungarian business plans, so the project is close to come to the end. Each participant is a winner, as they can participate free of charge in the project training, programs, the best will get additional incubation opportunities to establish a real business. During the project gained important information about the entrepreneurial experiences, how to start the business, and more useful information was gathered for the preparation of the Handbook, which can be reached on Hungarian, Croatian and English languages.
