We believe that each person must, if he wants, be able to continue to live in his house. This is the maxim of the Integr@maintenance project, which aims to promote the scaling of products and services for independent living, resulting from R & D & I activities of transboundary ecosystems, to achieve that through the adoption and commercialisation of such innovative solutions, elderly people with dependency, disability or chronic illness can be cared for at home even until the end of life if they wish. This will be achieved through the development and piloting of a joint model of attention and scaling of technologies, which coordinates and aligns the chain of provision of proximity care and the design and deployment of innovative solutions, with the expectations, desires and decisions of the person or end user. Results: 1. Consolidation of the platform for the scaling of innovative solutions in socio-health care at home in the cross-border area of Northern Portugal and Castilla y León. The platform is established thanks to the strategic planning of its actions (Agenda Integr@tenance), with the creation of an innovative model of proximity care supported by technologies and the realisation of a scaling pilot in rural areas of Zamora, Salamanca, Douro and the evaluation of its impact. This result is related to the result of the program in which entrepreneurs and innovators demand not only policies to support and stimulate health or socio-health R & D & I but also policies aimed at the so-called “adoption gap” that include the stimulus of demand, scaling actions of technologies and the formulation of favorable regulations. These actions improve the expectation of commercialisation in the business sector so that, in turn, these agents are sooner to make investments in R & D & I and in protecting the property of knowledge or industrial, giving rise to the “patents of quality” who are those who have the greatest marketability. 2. Creation of an Impact Hub dedicated to the development for the market, generation of competitive advantage and social impact of innovative solutions in the territory and target sector of Integr@tenance, through a program of services to accelerate the commercialisation. The project will adapt 10 technologies to the expectations of users and the requirements of the Integr@maintenance model, of which 3 will benefit from the scaling pilot action and a patentability study (3 patentability studies). Integr@tension aims to promote research, innovation, the increase of the commercialisation of technologies and their competitive advantage in the area of action of the project and beyond (transferibility). For this it is crucial the good management of the intangibles generated, with the protection of knowledge and industrial property. More specifically, it is intended to generate quality patents (valid, efficient) for the socio-health care at home of elderly people with disabilities, chronic conditions or dependency. To increase the protection of knowledge and industrial property, four measures will be taken: — Acceleration program of mature or close to market technologies: It will involve improving the innovative solutions selected and knowing their potential and impact. — Training: Specifically within this program, training on knowledge protection and patents is contemplated. — Piloting: It will allow entrepreneurs to have scientific and technical data on the performance of their technology, its effectiveness and efficiency, which will be of great value for the application and approval of the patent. — Patentability study prior to the application of the patent of 3 technologies, in order to prepare the ground.

"Creemos que cada persona debe, si quiere, poder seguir viviendo en su casa". Esta es la máxima del proyecto Integr@tención, que se dirige a impulsar el escalado de productos y servicios para la vida independiente, resultantes de actividades de I+D+i de los ecosistemas transfronterizos, para lograr que a través de la adopción y comercialización de dichas soluciones innovadoras, las personas mayores con dependencia, discapacidad o enfermedad crónica puedan ser atendidas en su hogar incluso hasta el fin de vida si lo desean. Ello se conseguirá a través del desarrollo y pilotaje de un modelo conjunto de atención y escalado de tecnologías, que coordina y alinea la cadena de provisión de cuidados de proximidad y el diseño y despliegue de soluciones innovadoras, con las expectativas, deseos y decisiones de la persona o usuario final. Resultados: 1. Consolidación de la plataforma para el escalado de soluciones innovadoras en la atención socio-sanitaria en el hogar en la zona transfronteriza del Norte de Portugal y Castilla y León. La plataforma se constituye gracias a la planificación estratégica de sus acciones (Agenda Integr@tención), con la creación de un modelo innovador de atención de proximidad apoyado por tecnologías y la realización de un piloto de escalado en zonas rurales de Zamora, Salamanca, Douro y la evaluación de su impacto. Este resultado se relaciona con el resultado del programa en que los empresarios e innovadores demandan no sólo políticas de apoyo y estímulo a la I+D+i sanitaria o socio-sanitaria sino también políticas dirigidas al denominado “gap de adopción” que incluyen el estímulo de la demanda, las acciones de escalado de tecnologías y la formulación de regulaciones favorecedoras. Estas acciones mejoran la expectativa de comercialización en el empresariado por lo que, a su vez, estos agentes son más prontos a realizar inversiones en I+D+i y en proteger la propiedad del conocimiento o industrial, dando lugar a las “patentes de calidad” que son aquellas que tienen mayor mercabilidad 2. Creación de un Impact Hub dedicado a la puesta a punto para el mercado, generación de ventaja competitiva y de impacto social de las soluciones innovadoras en el territorio y sector objetivo de Integr@tención, por medio de un programa de servicios de aceleración de la comercialización. En el proyecto se adecuarán 10 tecnologías a las expectativas de los usuarios y a los requerimientos del modelo Integr@tención, de las que 3 se beneficiarán de la acción piloto de escalado y un estudio de patentabilidad (3 estudios de patentabilidad). Integr@tención pretende impulsar la investigación, la innovación, el aumento de la comercialización de tecnologías y su ventaja competitiva en el área de actuación del proyecto y más allá (transferibilidad). Para ello es crucial la buena gestión de los intangibles generados, con la protección del conocimiento y la propiedad industrial. Más concretamente, se pretende la generación de patentes de calidad (válidas, eficientes) para la atención socio-sanitaria en domicilio de personas mayores con discapacidad, condiciones crónicas y/o dependencia. Para lograr el aumento de la protección del conocimiento y propiedad industrial, se adoptarán 4 medidas: - Programa de aceleración de tecnologías maduras o cercanas a mercado: Implicará mejorar las soluciones innovadoras seleccionadas y conocer su potencial e impacto. - Capacitación:Específicamente dentro de este programa se contempla formación sobre protección del conocimiento y patentes. - Pilotaje:Permitirá a los empresarios disponer de datos científicos y técnicos sobre el rendimiento de su tecnología, su eficacia y su eficiencia, que serán de gran valor para la solicitud y aprobación de la patente. - Estudio de patentabilidad previo a la solicitud de la patente de 3 tecnologías, de manera a preparar el terreno.
