Clin’Ability Design aims to strengthen the transnational adaptation capacity of Upper Rhine SMEs with regard to climate change and its challenges. This is achieved through the use and exchange of information, experiences and other forms of knowledge acquisition and communication. This is done through the regionally differentiated identification of the most important climatic stress factors on selected industries as well as their impact on workflows and employees. Bioclimatic aspects such as well-being are modelled via thermal indices, including physiological equivalent temperature, felt temperature, etc. The aim of the project is to derive regionally and industry-differentiated bioclimatic profiles and address the affected SMEs. In the context of dialogue forums, various innovative communication formats, in particular new audiovisual methods such as storylines, short films, info brochures, etc., are developed and tested as well as new forms of knowledge acquisition and communication. The resulting new communication design is intended to provide and disseminate adaptive knowledge in the form of an attractive participatory and cooperative platform interactively and easily accessible to SMEs.

Clim'Ability Design œuvre à la résilience transnationale des PME/PMI du Rhin supérieur par le renforcement des capacités en matière de climat et d’économie socialement et écologiquement responsable. Le renforcement des capacités se fera par l'utilisation et l'échange d'informations, d'expériences et d'autres formes d'acquisition de connaissances. Après avoir dégagé les principaux facteurs de stress climatique pour les secteurs emblématiques de la région au sein de Clim’Ability, le projet s’emploie à élargir la mobilisation par l’entrée par le bien-être au travail, soit par la mobilisation des employés. Les aspects du bien-être sont également modélisés mathématiquement avec des indices thermiques (température physiologiquement équivalente, température perçue, etc.). Le projet se propose d’explorer différentes trajectoires d’adaptation au changement climatique à partir de l’organisation d’ateliers de créativité et d’innovation dont les entreprises seront les principaux acteurs avec la participation de laboratoires de recherche et des pouvoirs publics. De nouvelles méthodes audiovisuelles ainsi que de nouvelles formes d'acquisition des connaissances et de communication seront utilisées dans le cadre de ces forums de créativité et d'innovation. Un nouveau design attrayant, interactif et facilement accessible aux PME, permettra de maintenir, diffuser et améliorer la qualité de ces connaissances sous la forme d'une plate-forme participative et collaborative attractive.

Clim'Ability Design hat zum Ziel, die transnationale Anpassungskapazität der oberrheinischen KMUs im Hinblick auf den Klimawandel und seine Herausforderungen zu stärken. Dies wird durch die Nutzung und den Austausch von Informationen, Erfahrungen und anderen Formen des Wissenserwerbs und der Wissenskommunikation erreicht. Dies geschieht über die regional differenzierte Identifikation der wichtigsten klimatischen Stressfaktoren auf ausgewählte Branchen sowie deren Auswirkungen auf Arbeitsabläufe und die btroffenen Mitarbeiter. Bioklimatische Aspekte wie Wohlbefinden werden über thermische Indizes, u.a. physiologische Äquivalenttemperatur, gefühlte Temperatur, etc. modelliert. Ziel des Projekts ist es, regional und branchendifferenzierte bioklimatische Profile abzuleiten und den betroffenen KMUs zu adressieren. Dazu werden im Rahmen von Dialogforen verschiedene innovative Kommunikationsformate, insbesonderen neue audiovisuelle Methoden wie Storylines, Kurzfilme, Infobroschüren, etc. entwickelt sowie neue Formen des Wissenserwerbs und der Kommunikation eingesetzt und getestet. Das daraus abgeleitete, neue Kommunikationsdesign soll interaktiv und für KMUs leicht zugänglich das anpassungsrelevante Wissens in Form einer attraktiven partizipativen und kooperativen Plattform vorhalten und verbreiten.

Achievements (EN):

Within the framework of Clim’Ability Design, an interactive web documentation was created under the direction of Professor Daniel Fetzner at Offenburg University of Applied Sciences, which gives an overview of the project. Four specific fields of work were developed audiovisually for their own documentation: good examples of companies in the region, the Landing Game, MobiMets measuring instruments and the artistic research project Jardin Glocal. The aim of Clim’Ability Design is always to highlight the vulnerabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises in the Upper Rhine in view of climate change and to make this information available in an interesting way. On the occasion of the completion of the Clim’Ability Design project, a 15-minute documentary was produced.
