The cities of Weil am Rhein and Huningue would like to convert former industrial areas for apartments, offices, trade and other uses (schools, youth center, open spaces). In view of the costs for these conversions, the present project only includes the realization of a common green space of 20,000m² on the opposite Rhine banks A possible remediation of contaminated sites will be carried out before the INTERREG project. The construction work will be accompanied by awareness-raising measures. These include workshops and a small exhibition and are aimed at interested citizens and children on the one hand and professionals on the other. In the case of citizens and children, it is particularly important to make complex information generally accessible and thus to make them aware of the challenges associated with soil consumption. For the professionals, the focus is on a cross-border view of the two urban projects, their impact and the realization of a cross-border project. A final module is devoted to communication. On the one hand, it is about publicizing the project and the support of the EU/INTERREG through press conferences, construction notices and boards and, on the other hand, informing the residents about the construction work and promoting the identification of the population with the project through a big project closing party.

Les villes de Weil am Rhein et de Huningue souhaitent réaménager des anciennes friches industrielles pour créer des logements, des bureaux et d’autres usages d’intérêt commun (écoles, centre de jeunesse, espaces libres). Vu le budget conséquent lié à ces opérations, le présent projet ne couvre que la réalisation d'un espace vert transfrontalier de 20000 m² sur les berges du Rhin. Une éventuelle dépollution devrait intervenir avant le début du projet INTERREG. Cet aménagement s'accompagne par des mesures de sensibilisation qui comprennent des workshops et une petite exposition et s'adresseront d'une part aux enfants et aux citoyens intéressés d’autre part aux professionnels. Il s'agit pour les citoyens et enfants notamment de vulgariser des informations complexes pour sensibiliser la population aux enjeux de la consommation des sols, de reconversion de friches et de densification. Pour les professionnels, l'accent sera mis sur une vue transfrontalière des deux projets urbains et leur impact . Le dernier volet de ce projet est consacré à la communication. Il s'agit d'un côté de faire connaître le projet et le soutien par l'Union Européenne/INTERREG par le biais de conférences de presse, de panneaux de construction et de plaquettes durables, et d'autre côté d'informer les riverains et la population dans le cadre de manifestations d'information des travaux prévus et de les faire adhérer au projet global par l'organisation d'une grande fête à la fin du projet.

Die Städte Weil am Rhein und Huningue möchten ehemalige Industrieareale für Wohnungen, Büros, Gewerbe und weitere Nutzungen (Schulen, Jugendhaus, Freiräume) umnutzen. Angesichts des Kostenaufwands für diese Umnutzungen umfasst das vorliegende Projekt nur die Realisierung eines gemeinsamen Grünraums von 20000m² auf den gegenüberliegenden Rheinufern. Eine mögliche Altlastensanierung wird vor dem INTERREG-Projekt vorgenommen. Die Bauarbeiten werden von Sensibilisierungsmassnahmen begleitet. Diese umfassen Workshops sowie eine kleine Ausstellung und richten sich einerseits an interessierte Bürger und Kinder und andererseits an Berufsangehörige. Bei den Bürgern und Kindern geht es insbesondere darum, komplexe Informationen allgemein zugänglich zu machen und somit die mit dem Bodenverbrauch einhergehenden Herausforderungen bewusst zu machen. Für die Berufsangehörigen liegt der Schwerpunkt auf einer grenzüberschreitenden Sicht der beiden städtebaulichen Projekte, ihrer Auswirkungen und der Realisierung eines grenzüberschreitenden Projekts. Ein letztes Modul widmet sich der Kommunikation. Es geht einerseits darum, dass Projekt und die Unterstützung der EU/INTERREG durch Pressekonferenzen, Bautafeln und Tafeln bekannt zu machen und andererseits die Anrainer über die Bauarbeiten zu informieren und die Identifikation der Bevölkerung mit dem Projekt durch ein grosses Projektabschlussfest zu fördern.
