Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to establish a Trans-border Bio-area for agriculture, stock breeding and aquacultures & secure its sustainable functioning as a pilot model for other organizations and companies in the region and other trans-border regional programmes. The expected change that the project will make is related to providing pilot support to the entrepreneurship in the CB area & providing benefits from economies of scale, joint marketing, promotion of CB products.

Expected Results (EN):

The project will support the efforts of organizations in the CB area through creating a CB bio-area, organizing a network with common strategy, action plan, standardized management practices, etc. Such common support system will make possible the development of further common CB initiatives & will provide benefits from economies of scale, joint marketing, promotion of CB Bio area better fitted to consumer needs due to exchange of information. Main results: - Creation of a CB bio-area and of pilot partners network with common strategic documents - Development of a bio area map suited to CB region’s needs, statute, and founding documents pertaining to the governance of the area, financial stability plan, 5 year business strategy plan for governing body structure plan - Promotion of sustainable bio-area practices; the CB bio-area; the partner approach in bio-agriculture - Achievement of a positive impact on sustainability of newly created enterprises in bio/organic farming sector - Presentation and promotion of region’s potential - Exchange of marketing concepts and models among the entrepreneurs on both sides of the border - Increase in the competitiveness of participating enterprises and their market potential in the CB area - Raised competitiveness and common economic and trade activity of the companies and farmers from Haskovo & Evros - More information on organic farming and the bio-food sector for the project and the programme.
