The Naval Industry, Shipbuilding and the related supply chain in Adriatic-Ionian region are facing great challenges, looking toward the significant transformation of manufacturing industry, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, that involves the entire value chain process with effects on production, intercompany relations and human capital development and requires a new technology brush-ups. The FUTURE 4.0 project developed an experimental methodology of knowledge transfer addressed to the companies operating in the sector, with the aim to support their transition toward Industry 4.0 and break barriers to innovation between university, center of research and enterprises. Tools and models were designed and tested to strengthen competences, raise the awareness on technology needs and trends, and rethink the set of skills and abilities enabling the industrial transformation. Now it is time to effectively share them and contribute in this way to the competitiveness of the shipbuilding and logistics sectors and to their resilience in dealing with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to maximize the visibility of the project achievements, the new FUTURE 4.0 PLUS will implement actions for the valorization of the knowledge capital produced, making it widely available, particularly for companies and training institutions that are approaching the transition to a more green and digital dimension. Looking towards the Factory of the Future concept, targeted workshops and events will be organized to address the issue of Industry 4.0 transformation from different perspectives, sharing research results, introducing further applications of learning tools, and reinforcing the Network established between academic and enterprises active in the Adriatic – Ionian region. New communication content such as tutorial videos will be designed to illustrate the main aspects of the FUTURE 4.0 project and the practical and effective application of its knowledge transfer methodology. In addition, the relevant contents relating to the Technological Map developed will be highlighted. The most inspiring contributions and experiences emerged from the implementation of the Pilot Actions will be shared in a dedicated web area, where also the project analysis and researches, duly reviewed, will be at disposal for consultation.

FUTURE 4.0 WEB SHARING AREA NOW AVAILABLE! For all who are interested in Industrial transformation-related themes, and in particular, for enterprises active in the shipbuilding and logistic sector, and research and training institutions based in the Adriatic and Ionian regions, the FUTURE 4.0 knowledge capital is now available in a brand new WEB SHARING AREA: www.future40plus-siav.eu The new web area was launched in April 2022, and to implement it, according to the shared strategy, the partners of the FUTURE 4.0 PLUS project have reorganized and reworked the produced materials, selected the FUTURE 4.0 most relevant knowledge transfer methodologies, the innovative research techniques adopted for road mapping, and foresight of emerging industrial needs in terms of technology and human competencies; shared the FUTURE 4.0 Smart Learning Model for knowledge transfer for Innovation and its methodological approach; provided instruction for the FUTURE 4.0 Platform and appointed the successful business cases at in-company and intercompany level resulting from the innovative experimentation in the five Local Pilot Actions. The scheme of the web area follows the structure of the FUTURE 4.0 project with 3 specific areas reflecting the 3 WPs devoted respectively to the: • The initial FUTURE 4.0 research phase & the Technological Roadmap, with a focus on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP); Card Game Analysis and the results of its application, and the Road Map; • The Smart Learning Model & FUTURE 4.0 Platform: the Teaching Factory Paradigm and the Knowledge Transfer approach; the overall methodological approach adopted in the five Local Pilot Actions and their main findings including the four revised Professional Profiles; • The Local Pilot Actions Enterprises Interventions: a “showcase” of the enterprises’ interventions implemented in the Local Pilot Actions, focusing on in-company interventions (Cases studies) and intercompany sessions (Seminars). 10 Enterprises Interventions are shown, the most relevant ones per each region involved. Furthermore, in each section is uploaded the related content video tutorial, developed to emphasize the processes in each project phase and the main achievements and/or lessons learned. In the complex, the enhancement strategy follows three basic principles: • create awareness; • arouse interest; • stimulate attractiveness (to utilize the results).
