Description (FR): Le projet RedPol concevra et produira au minimum deux produits innovants destinés au marché des biotechnologies dans la zone FMA et au-delà, qui seront présentés à l’OCDE pour obtenir une reconnaissance internationale et promouvoir leur utilisation réglementaire. Ces produits innovants seront finalisés sous forme de biotests intégrant des innovations technologiques en mesures physiques et biochimiques d’activités biologiques dans une procédure parfaitement décrite telle que le requière l’adoption internationale des tests réglementaires.
Ils permettront de développer l’activité de mesures biologiques en France et en Angleterre pour des applications en environnement, en santé et en évaluation des risques, pour lesquels les besoins sont croissants.
Le projet RedPol étendra le concept pré-existant de l’Union Européenne pour la gestion des polluants très préoccupants que sont les perturbateurs endocriniens afin de mieux intégrer les problématiques de la zone FMA et élèvera six innovations technologiques spécifiques des équipes réunies afin qu’au moins deux produits atteignent les TRL 7-8 dans les délais du projet et plus au-delà de 2023.
Le consortium RedPol se compose d’un ensemble pertinent de partenaires français et britanniques, chercheurs, développeurs et manageurs du secteur public et privé nécessaire pour (1) identifier les connaissances biologiques à fort potentiel pour développer des informations de valeur diagnostique, (2) intégrer ces connaissances dans des systèmes de mesures physiques et biologiques, (3) valider les systèmes dans un format biotechnologique opérationnel parfaitement décrit, (4) tester les outils dans différentes configurations (milieux et systèmes vivants), (5) et déployer les tests en différents lieux de l’espace Manche. Le travail conjoint entre partenaires permettra un développement plus adéquat, plus rapide et plus opérationnel qui ne pourrait être réalisé sans l’apport de l’aide Interreg.
Les innovations qui seront réalisées sont essentielles (1) aux sociétés qui pourront les proposer et vendre de nouveaux services, (2) à l’industrie chimique afin d’éviter des coûts de développement de nouveaux composés non acceptables en raison des risques identifiés par les outils proposés, (3) à la bonne mise en œuvre réglementaire de l’élimination des perturbateurs endocriniens préoccupants de l’espace européen. Le projet testera six composés suspectés d’impacter significativement la santé des hommes et des environnements.
Le projet RedPol associera les instances nationales et internationales et la société en générale. Il visera à améliorer durablement les pratiques et la compétitivité des industries, à consolider les évaluations réglementaires et à promouvoir des comportements environnementalement responsables. Conformément aux objectifs européens, c’est l’amélioration durable de l’environnement et de la santé qui est promue mais aussi la pêche, l’ostréiculture et les activités de loisir.
Read more Description (EN): The RedPol project will design and produce at least two innovative products for the biotechnology market in the FCE area and beyond, which will be presented to the OECD to gain international recognition and promote their regulatory use. These innovative products will be finalized in the form of biotests, integrating technological innovations involving physical and biochemical measurements for biological activities into a perfectly described procedure as required for the international adoption of regulatory tests. They will enable the development of biological measurement activities in France and England for applications and development in the area of environment, health and risk assessment. The RedPol project will extend the existing European Union concept on the management of substances of very high concern called endocrine disrupters to better integrate the issues of the FCE area and will create six specific technological innovations so that at least two of these products will reach TRL 7-8 within the project lifetime and will go further as part of the roll-out post-project.
The RedPol consortium consists of a relevant group of French and British partners, researchers, developers and managers from the public and private sectors needed to (1) identify biological knowledge with high potential to develop information of diagnostic value, (2) integrate this knowledge into physical and biological measurement systems, (3) validate systems in a fully described operational biotechnology format, (4) test tools in different configurations (environments and living systems), (5) and deploy tests in different locations in the Channel area. Joint work between partners will enable a more thorough, rapid and operational development that could not be achieved without the provision of Interreg assistance.
The innovations that will be achieved are essential (1) to companies that will use them and sell new services, (2) to the chemical industry in order to avoid development costs for new compounds that are potentially unacceptable because of the risks identified by the proposed tools, (3) to the proper regulatory implementation of the elimination of endocrine disrupters of concern in the European space. The project will test at least six compounds suspected of significantly impacting human health and environments. The RedPol project will involve national and international authorities and society in general. It will aim to sustainably improve industry practices and competitiveness, consolidate regulatory assessments and promote environmentally responsible behaviour. In the long term, and in line with European objectives, it is the sustainable improvement of the environment and health that is promoted. The specific focus on the marine environment will also lead to a significant improvement in knowledge on the environmental risks of economic activities associated with the marine environment, such as fishing and oyster farming, but also leisure activities.

Il développera le marché de la toxicologie dans la région FMA (+7,5 % en 2023), un marché qui a cru plus vite que l’économie générale au cours de la dernière décennie (+26%, à 3000 millions d’euros) et qui comporte 1200 perturbateurs endocriniens présumés à évaluer.
