Description (EN):

The project proposal is developed under AXE 3, SO.3.2 Energy. The common challenge of the proposal and the Programme is the adoption of European standards in the RES, RUE and ES systems for the public and private sectors. The main objective of the project is to develop a community relying on smart energy, which can be achieved by training activities providing knowledge regarding the issue in discussions, such as its benefits concerning the preservation of environmental resources and its impact on social inclusiveness. The project will define a regional strategy of education and training for the implementation of smart energy knowledge in order to encourage the use according to European standards. In other words, it will establish local expertise by incorporating the trainers’ consciousness with the task of smart energy implementation based on European standards. Moreover, a short program curriculum on renewable energy courses will be developed in order to update the smart energy knowledge and European directives in the region. Young researchers and students will benefit by developing smart energy management skills and emerging initiatives for innovative technological solutions displayed in open forums. Renewable energy providers and consumers, as a consequence, both benefit from meetings with presentations and exhibitions of innovative works. The project will contribute also in building a cross border acceptable regional environment for smart energy implementation that encourages public opinion and policymakers to pursue a number of revision initiatives about the Renewable Energies according to the European directives and trend. The project approach includes study and research activities by creating a database of potential stakeholders involved and interested in renewable energies, the benefits, news on the issue, etc.

Expected Results (EN): Common plans for energy efficiency and sustainable energy production.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The establishment of a smart energy community network with culture and competences on smart energy European standards in order to create facilities of its adoptions in the regional framework is the main result of the project. The creation of trainer skills and competences for renewable energy system implementations is another important result of the project that encourages a network of experts and researchers that contribute to the new innovative ideas and initiatives to invest in the future on new renewable resources of the energy with zero carbon emission in the respective environments. Training activities develop enhanced analyzing skills by educating the citizens on renewable energies and the benefits of using them for a better quality of life and more efficacy services. The project promotes new smart solutions by using smart energies through establishing training curricula on this field as one of the priorities of EU directives that aims to ensure sustainable development.
