Description (EN):

Tourism in recent years has changed; the generic name "Tourism" no longer seems sufficient to identify new travelers. We are moving from "Destination Tourism" to "Experiential Tourism". No longer just places to see, but above all, things to do, experiences to live in close contact with local realities. Due to ancient migrations, before XV century, from Albania to Apulia, the territory all around the first core of Trivianum village, the early Triggiano was populated by Greek-Albanian populations. The Italian and Albanian people integrated and merged their traditions. After the last migration of the nineties, a strong local community was formed. The objective of the project is to live the aforesaid "experiences" representing a sustainable value for the territory, with a positive influence on the enhancement of the same, starting from the ancient common roots of origin and troubles. Another important element that will be highlighted is the "reciprocity" in the sense that better places to visit will be created taking a great attention to local communities; experiences are lived reciprocally by those who propose them and by those who benefit from them. For this reason our major project target is the family, which could mainly benefit of them. For example: treasure hunt of votive kiosks with children, preparation of typical dishes with the locals, tastings in typical places, discovery of historical monuments through workshops and interviews with grandparents holders of the memory and finally rediscovery the games of the past. Objective: rediscovery its own history, its own traditions, its own strengths and its most authentic characteristics to revive as a resident with the citizens of the place. Originality lies in the new way of "doing" as protagonists and not as spectators. Output: Experiential tour package transferable to other territories.

Expected Results (EN): Common action Plans for the smart management of tourist destinations to be adopted by the public authorities of the Programme area.

Expected Outputs (EN): The project foresees concrete action to achieve tangible result "Realization of common plan between Albania and Italy for a new experential tourism format" in line with those of the Programme, to promote a common understanding among public bodies, economic operators and local communities.
