Het aantal bijen neemt momenteel wereldwijd af als gevolg van meerdere factoren. Dit komt tot uiting in de oversterfte van zowel gedomesticeerde als wilde bijen. Deze achteruitgang bedreigt de bestuiving en heeft gevolgen voor de economie en onze voedselzekerheid. België en Frankrijk vormen geen uitzondering op de terugval van de bijen. Met de hulp van UMONS en SAPOLL hebben de territoriale stakeholders hun acties willen bundelen om de ondernemingen aan te moedigen en te helpen het voortouw te nemen en de kansen op een duurzaam beheer van het grensoverschrijdende grondgebied te vergroten. Op hun niveau kunnen bedrijven immers een rol spelen bij veranderingen op het gebied van biodiversiteit door goede praktijken te ontwikkelen en initiatieven te nemen die als voorbeeld kunnen dienen, en zo de bewustwording van het terugvalfenomeen vergroten en zichtbaarheid geven aan mogelijke beschermingsacties.

Les abeilles subissent actuellement un déclin mondial provoqué par de multiples facteurs. Il se traduit par une surmortalité des abeilles domestiques et sauvages. Ce déclin met en péril la pollinisation et a des conséquences sur l’économie et sur notre sécurité alimentaire. La Belgique et la France ne font pas exception au déclin des abeilles. Les acteurs territoriaux, avec l'aide de l'UMONS et de SAPOLL, ont souhaité fédérer leurs actions afin, d’une part, d’inciter et d’aider les entreprises à prendre le pas et, d’autre part, d’augmenter les chances d’aboutir à une gestion durable du territoire transfrontalier. En effet, à leur niveau, les entreprises peuvent être des acteurs de changement en matière de biodiversité en développant des bonnes pratiques et en prenant des initiatives exemplaires, sensibilisant ainsi au phénomène de disparition tout en donnant de la visibilité aux actions de protection possibles.

Bees are currently experiencing a global decline caused by multiple factors. This is reflected in the over-mortality of both domestic and wild bees. This decline threatens pollination and has consequences for the economy and our food security. Belgium and France are no exception to the decline in bee populations. With the help of the UMONS (University of Mons) and SAPOLL (the Sauvons nos pollinisateurs project), the territorial actors were anxious to pool their efforts in order to encourage and help companies to take the lead and to increase the chances of achieving sustainable management of the cross-border territory. Indeed, at their level, companies can be actors of change in terms of biodiversity by developing good practices and taking exemplary initiatives, thus raising awareness of the phenomenon of disappearance while giving visibility to possible protection actions.

Expected Results (NL):

Het verwachte resultaat is tweeledig: enerzijds acht bedrijven motiveren om de aanpak aan te vatten en "ambassadeurs" te worden en anderzijds een gedragsverandering tot stand brengen bij zowel de overheid als de particuliere partners, die geleidelijk bewust moeten worden gemaakt van het probleem van de verdwijning van bestuivers, de kwetsbaarheid van de ecosystemen en hun vermogen om samen acties te ondernemen. Het project heeft ook tot doel: - de acties die binnen de "referentiebedrijven" worden uitgevoerd te verspreiden; - het besef aan te wakkeren dat het belangrijk is om op territoriale schaal te werken op basis van gecoördineerde en geografisch gespreide acties in de betrokken gebieden, ten einde een aanzienlijke invloed uit te oefenen op de ontwikkeling van de biodiversiteit; - rekening te leren houden met een milieustrategie.

Expected Results (FR):

Le résultat escompté est double : d'une part, avoir huit entreprises motivées à se lancer dans la démarche et à devenir des « ambassadeurs » et, d'autre part, changer les comportements à la fois des pouvoirs publics et des partenaires privés qui devraient progressivement être sensibilisés à la problématique de la disparition des pollinisateurs, de la fragilité des écosystèmes et de leur capacité à entreprendre des actions fédératrices. Le projet vise aussi à : -la dissémination des actions mises en place au sein des entreprises « référentes »; -une prise de conscience de l'intérêt de travailler à des échelles territoriales sur la base d'actions coordonnées et géographiquement réparties sur les territoires concernés en vue d'engendrer un impact sensible sur l'évolution de la biodiversité ; -la prise en compte d'une stratégie environnementale.

Expected Results (EN):

The expected outcome is twofold: on the one hand, to bring on board eight motivated companies as "ambassadors" and, on the other hand, to change attitudes among both the public authorities and private partners, who should gradually be made aware of the problem of the disappearance of pollinators, the fragility of ecosystems and their ability to undertake federative actions. The project also aims to: - disseminate the efforts implemented within the "reference" companies; - raise awareness of the advantage of working on a territorial scale on the basis of coordinated and geographically distributed actions in the territories concerned with a view to generating a significant impact on the evolution of biodiversity; - take into account an environmental strategy.

Expected Outputs (NL): 8 partnerbedrijven, 2 communicatiemiddelen, 1 bestek voor zaaigoed, 1 bestek voor een communicatiebureau, 8 voorzieningen, 2 opleidings- en bewustmakingssessies van de bedrijven.

Expected Outputs (FR): 8 entreprises partenaires ; 2 outils de communication ; 1 cahier des charges pour les semences ; 1 cahier des charges pour une agence de communication ; 8 aménagements ; 2 temps de formation et de sensibilisation des entreprises.

Expected Outputs (EN): 8 partner companies, 2 communication tools, 1 set of specifications for seeds, 1 specification for a communication agency, 8 developments, 2 training sessions and awareness raising for companies.
