De buur- en grensgemeenten Veurne en Hondschoote willen de lagere schoolkinderen in hun gemeenten de mogelijkheid bieden om via een buitenschools activiteitenprogramma kennis te maken met de buurtaal, het Nederlands in Frankrijk en het Frans in Vlaanderen. De gemeenten willen over de netten heen werken en leerlingen van zowel openbare als private scholen aantrekken. Ze zullen samenwerken met leerkrachten en toekomstige leerkrachten basisonderwijs van de hogescholen Howest en ESPE LNF. Het doel is de leerlingen een betere start te geven en een grotere kans op succes bij het leren van de taal op school. Leerkrachten van Howest en ESPE LNF zullen goede praktijken uitwisselen rond het pedagogische project. De studenten die een opleiding tot leerkracht basisonderwijs volgen, zullen aan de andere kant van de grens werken en een andere manier van lesgeven ontdekken en meer kansen hebben om in Frankrijk of Vlaanderen een baan te vinden.

Furnes et Hondschoote, communes voisines et frontalières, veulent offrir aux enfants des écoles primaires de leurs communes la possibilité de faire connaissance avec la langue voisine par un programme d’activités périscolaires, le Néerlandais en France et le Français en Flandre. Les villes veulent travailler au-delà des réseaux et attirer aussi bien les élèves des écoles publiques que privées. Elles travailleront avec les professeurs et les étudiants futurs enseignants d’école primaire des écoles supérieures Howest et ESPE LNF. Le but est de faire démarrer les élèves avec plus de motivation et de chance de succès dans l’apprentissage de la langue à l’école. Les professeurs de Howest et d’ESPE LNF s’échangeront des bonnes pratiques autour du projet pédagogique. Les étudiants en formation de professeur d’école primaire travailleront de l’autre côté de la frontière et découvriront un autre enseignement. Ils auront ainsi plus de chances de trouver du travail en France ou en Flandre.

Furnes and Hondschoote, neighbouring and border towns, want to offer primary school children in their towns the opportunity to get to know the neighbouring language through a programme of extracurricular activities, Dutch in France and French in Flanders. The town want to work beyond the networks and attract pupils from both public and public schools. They will work together with teachers and future primary school teacher students from the Howest and ESPE LNF teacher training establishments. The aim is to get pupils off to a better start and offer them a better chance of success when learning the language at school. Teachers from Howest and ESPE LNF will exchange good practices around the pedagogical project. The students in training to become primary school teachers will work on the other side of the border and will discover a different way of teaching and will thus have a better chance of finding a job in France or in Flanders.

Expected Results (NL):

Dit microproject beoogt een taalinitiatie te organiseren waar de leerlingen in de toekomst voordeel uit zullen kunnen halen dankzij deze vroege confrontatie met een vreemde taal. Daarom wil men een pedagogische visie ontwikkelen om ervoor te zorgen dat de vreemde taal niet langer vreemd is voor kinderen, zodat ze communicatieve vaardigheden ontwikkelen, de wens hebben om verder te leren en automatismen verwerven. Voor de bij dit project betrokken studenten zijn de voordelen velerlei: integratie van de ervaring in de masterproef, toegenomen belangstelling voor de Franse en Nederlandse taal, uitwisseling van goede praktijken, eerste beroepservaring, toepassing van theoretische kennis op het terrein, rekening houden met de grensoverschrijdende dimensie en identiteit, openheid naar Europa, integratie van de internationale dimensie in de beroepspraktijk en vorming van een internationaal netwerk van jonge leerkrachten.

Expected Results (FR):

Ce micro-projet se propose d'organiser une initiation en langues où les élèves pourront tirer bénéfice à l’avenir de cette confrontation précoce à une langue étrangère. Il vise donc à développer une vision pédagogique pour aider les enfants à démystifier la langue étrangère afin qu’ils développent des compétences de communication, qu’ils aient envie de poursuivre l’apprentissage, qu’ils acquièrent des automatismes. Pour les étudiants impliqués dans ce projet, les bénéfices sont multiples : intégration de l’expérience dans le mémoire de master, intérêt renforcé pour les langues française et néerlandaise, échange de bonnes pratiques entre pairs, première expérience professionnelle, application des connaissances théoriques sur le terrain, prise en compte de la dimension et de l’identité transfrontalières, ouverture à l’Europe, intégration de l’international dans la pratique professionnelle et constitution d’un réseau international de jeunes enseignants.

Expected Results (EN):

This micro-project aims to organise an introduction to languages where pupils can benefit in the future from this early exposure to a foreign language. It therefore aims to develop a pedagogical vision to help demystify the foreign language for the children so that they develop communication skills, have the desire to continue learning, and acquire automatic reflexes. For the students involved in this project, the benefits are numerous: integration of the experience in the Master's thesis, increased interest in the French and Dutch languages, exchange of good practices between peers, first professional experience, application of theoretical knowledge in the field, taking into account the cross-border dimension and identity, openness to Europe, integration of the international dimension in professional practice and constitution of an international network of young teachers.

Expected Outputs (NL): 2 dubbele pedagogische projecten, 1 ontwerp en uitvoering van de opleiding over de tools door de leerkrachten in opleiding, 7 taalinitiatie.

Expected Outputs (FR): 2 doubles projets pédagogiques, 1 conception et réalisation de la formation aux outils par les étudiants enseignants, 7 initiations en langues.

Expected Outputs (EN): 2 twofold pedagogical projects, 1 design and implementation of tool training by student teachers, 7 introductions to languages.
