Description (EN):

The project aims to develop environmentally friendly transport initiatives in the cross-border area which will reduce the air pollution caused by motorized vehicles. The action envisages a set of concerted measures: fitting out 47,590 square metres of bycicle lanes along with creation of 19 parking facilities, which will lead to the upgrade of 24.673 km of road in the cities of Ungheni (Republic of Moldova) and Dorohoi (Romania), identification of a joint methodology of adopted environmentally friendly transport principles, joint development of environment-friendly policies and their implementation, identification of critical issues and key-factors which determine the reducing of air pollution by improving the transport system.

Environmentally friendly and sustainable transport infrastructure created. (47590 sq. metres of bycicle lanes and 19 parking facilites created) Cross-border network for environmentally friendly and sustainable transport development is launched and supported by cross-border events.(4) 67000 people aware of sustainable transport.
