Description (EN):

The project is aimed at the adjacent nature park Kerta in the Town Michalovce and park Széphalom in the part of town Satoraljaújhely. Both parks urgently need revitalization in terms of green vegetation and woody species regarding their composition and health, and at the same time to preserve their significant historical value. Parks revitalization, consisting mainly of planting and trees care, restoration of small park architecture and pavement network, will significantly aestheticize the environment in the built-up urban area. Planting of vegetation is important from the point of view of ecology and conservation of biodiversity of nature. The task of restoring this historical greenery is to preserve this natural heritage and keep it as original as possible for future generations. All target groups of towns residents, towns visitors, tourists will be the users of the project.

Expected Results (EN):

The biggest share of visitors from Town of Michalovce is inhabitants from neighbouring countries (PL, HU, UA, CZ), as well as citizens from other countries, who uses services touristic information center of town of Michalovce. Estimated number of visits is 60 000 per year. The biggest share of visitors from Municipality of Sátoraljaújhely is visitors from Kaland park, which is in town´s property and employees of Kaland park are employees of Municipality of Sátoraljaújhely. Estimated number of visits is 300 000 per year.

3, Tangible outcomes: - Total revitalized park area: 30 840 m2 = 3,08 ha. - Total number of newly planted trees, shrubs and perennials: 2 318 . - Total number of benches installed: 41 . - Total number of trash cans installed: 23 . - Total number of pergola installed: 1. - Total number of (public lighting) lights installed: 31 . - Total length of revitalized or newly created sidewalks in park: 1920 m with area of 4 165 m2. - Total number of camera's sensors: 2. 4, Tangible outcomes: - Total revitalized park area: 25 560 m2 = 2,56 ha. - Total number of newly planted trees, shrubs and perennials: 15 trees, 1 087 shrubs, 3 010 perennials. - Total number of benches installed: 16. - Total number of trash cans installed: 10. - Total number of information boards installed:20. - Total number of pergola installed: 3. - Total number of (public lighting) lights installed: 39. - Total length of revitalized or newly created sidewalks in park: 1 111,1 m with area of 4 647 m2. - Total number of camera's sensors: 2 lamps and 2 cameras for access control system.
