Initié en 2013 via le programme Leader et étendu via le projet EMbleMatiC MED, le réseau des Montagnes Emblématiques Méditerranéennes fédère 12 des plus grandes: Olympus, Canigó, Pedraforca, Idà, Stromboli,… Ces montagnes sont situées dans les zones côtières de l'arrière-pays et partagent de fortes caractéristiques rurales ou insulaires. Ces territoires souhaitent développer un modèle de développement touristique plus responsable et durable (rééquilibrage géographique des flux de visiteurs, saisonnalité prolongée, impact environnemental réduit, retours eco accrus…). Pour ce 5ème appel Interreg MED, EMbleMatiC PLUS implique 7 partenaires (3 donneurs issus du projet EMbleMatiC & 4 nouveaux receveurs) et 7 partenaires associés en charge de la gestion des montagnes côtières ou des politiques publiques de 6 pays.Le projet EMbleMatiC PLUS a pour objectif d'approfondir et d'étendre les résultats du premier projet en transférant le «Guide de transférabilité pour la mise en œuvre d'un éco-itinéraire». Ce projet vise à: - maximiser l'impact de ce qui a été accompli et travaillé par le projet EMbleMatiC sur les nouveaux territoires - travailler ensemble pour adapter le guide de transfert initial au contexte local des receveurs et pour obtenir le meilleur plan de mise en œuvre local de l’éco-itinéraire- renforcer le réseau emblématique des montagnes méditerranéennes en rassemblant les acteurs locaux et les autorités de gestion partageant les mêmes valeurs, visions et savoir-faire.

Initiated in 2013 through Leader program and extended in the framework of EMbleMatiC MED Project, the Emblematic Mediterranean Mountains network is today made-up of a dozen of the greatest: Olympus, Canigó, Pedraforca, Idà, Stromboli, …All these mountains are located in hinterland coastal areas and share strong rural or island characteristics. However, these areas wish to develop a more responsible and sustainable tourism development model (geographical rebalancing of visitors flows, extended seasonality, reduced environmental impact, increased local returns…).In the framework of the 5th call for modular of the Interreg MED program, EMbleMatiC PLUS involves 3 givers partners from the previous EMbleMatiC project, 4 new receivers’ partners and 7 associated partners in charge of coastal mountains management or public policies from 6 countries around the Med.EMbleMatiCPLUS project aims to deepen & extend the first project results by transferring the “Transferability guide for the implementation of an eco-itinerary”. More specifically, this project aims to: -maximise the impact of what was accomplished & worked with the EMbleMatiC project to new Med territories,-work together in adjusting the initially produced transfer guide to fit receivers’ local context and to obtain their best eco-itinerary local implementation plan,-reinforce the Emblematic Mediterranean Mountains network gathering key local stakeholders & managing authorities sharing same values, visions & know-how.

Achievements (FR):

EMbleMatiC PLUS implique 7 partenaires : 3 donneurs du projet précèdent EMbleMatiC, 4 nouveaux receveurs, tous membres du réseau EMM (Emblematic Mediterranean Mountains). Ils souhaitent développer un modèle touristique plus responsable et durable dans les zones côtières, rurales de leur arrière-pays.Ainsi, EMbleMatiC PLUS vise à approfondir et à étendre les résultats du premier projet en transférant le "Guide de transférabilité pour la mise en œuvre d'un éco-itinéraire". Les éco-itinéraires déjà créés contribuent à rééquilibrer géographiquement les flux de visiteurs, à étendre la saisonnalité, à réduire l'impact environnemental tout en générant un retour économique pour ces zones à faible densité.Suite à un premier comité de pilotage, les partenaires tirèrent profit des mois d'été pour poser le cadre de gestion administrative et financière du projet et pour recruter les experts externes qui accompagnent la bonne mise en œuvre du projet.L'activité de transfert débuta dès septembre.Lors d'une première étape, les donneurs animèrent deux webinaires pour présenter le contenu du guide et les résultats précédemment obtenus.L’atelier thématique organisé en octobre dans le cadre de la première rencontre transnationale a permis aux receveurs de faire leur propre expérience de visite de deux éco-itinéraires existants au Canigó et au Pedraforca et de proposer leur propre évaluation en s'appuyant sur les 30 attributs auxquels les éco-itinéraires doivent se conformer.Dans une deuxième étape, chaque receveur a travaillé avec l'équipe de coaching pour fédérer leurs acteurs locaux et commencer à concevoir leur futur éco-itinéraire : ils ont produit 3 rapports périodiques pour justifier que leurs choix locaux de spots, d'activités, d'acteurs… étaient conformes avec la liste des 30 attributs définis dans le guide de transfert. Ce travail prépare les propositions de visites sur site que donneurs et évaluateurs viendront évaluer sur chaque territoire receveur d'ici février 2022.Les résultats de l'activité de communication sont significatifs pour ce premier trimestre.Une nouvelle affiche a été publiée pour illustrer l'identité commune emblématique du partenariat complétée par les fiches de renseignement que chaque receveur a produit en suivant les 9 critères précédemment appliqués aux donateurs.Enfin, l'avancement du projet a été correctement partagé grâce à la mise à jour du site internet et aux publications régulières sur les réseaux sociaux du projet.

Achievements (EN):

EMbleMatiC PLUS involves 7 partners, 3 givers from the previous EMbleMatiC project, 4 new receivers’ and 7 associated partners. These partners are members of the EMM network (Emblematic Mediterranean Mountains). They wish to adopt a more responsible and sustainable tourism development model located in their hinterland coastal areas with strong rural and island characteristics. Thus, EMbleMatiC PLUS project aims to deepen and extend the first project results by transferring the “Transferability guide for the implementation of an eco-itinerary”. These previously created eco-itineraries contribute to geographically rebalance the visitors flows, to extend the seasonality, to reduce environmental impact whilst generating economical return for these low-density areas.The summer months were put to good use to set the administrative and management framework of the project following an exhaustive and enjoyable first steering committee. Each partner recruited their corresponding external expert in readiness to carry out all activities without delay.The transferring activity started in September:During a first stage, givers run two webinars to present the contents of the guide and related past achievements.The thematic workshop held in October during the first transnational meeting, provided receivers with their own visiting experience of two existing eco-itineraries in Canigó & Pedraforca and the opportunity to articulate their own feedback relying on the 30 attributes that eco-itineraries must comply with.During a second stage, each receiver has been working with the coaching team to bring local stakeholders together and to start designing their future eco-itinerary: they produced 3 periodical reports to justify that their local choices of spots, activities, stakeholders … were complying with the list of 30 attributes defined on transfer guide. This work is preparing the on-site visit proposals that givers and assessor will come to assess on each receiver territory by February 2022.During this first semester, the communication activity produced significant results.A new poster was released to perfectly illustrate the emblematic common identity of the partnership completed with fact-sheets that receivers produced following the 9 emblematic criteria previously applied to givers’ territories.Most importantly, all activities progresses were properly shared thanks to the update of the project website and the regular postings on project social networks.
