ShareDiMobiHub aims to improve urban multi-modal accessibility by increasing the introduction and uptake of shared mobility hubs, resulting in a modal shift and changed behaviour towards shared mobility hubs. A modal shift from the own car to shared mobility is needed to cope with increased transport demand due to urbanisation. To speed up the transition, we need to implement an integral approach entailing a.o. measures to provide space for shared mobility, nudging & communication, restrictions for private cars, integration with public transport and with Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The integral approach will be used to implement: Plans to increase shared mobility hubs in Amsterdam and surrounding cities in the metropolitan area (through the Transport Authority Amsterdam). Digitalisation plans to integrate shared mobility with MaaS in Amsterdam and surrounding cities, Leuven and the province of Utrecht. Besides, some regions first need to implement a pilot before upscaling can take place: In Vestfold and Telemark Region to integrate shared mobility with public transport. In Rotterdam and Leuven aimed at testing how to best engage specific target groups. In Leuven to test shared mobility with a mixed user-group. Based on the learnings from the pilots and the experiences of the partners implementing upscaling action plans, Rotterdam and the province of Utrecht and follower partner the Capital Region of Denmark, will draft and adopt each an upscaling strategy to roll-out shared mobility hubs. Leuven and VTFK will implement upscaling action plans including digitalisation and MaaS-integration. Transnational cooperation is key: the more experienced partners from the Netherlands and Belgium will show the way to other partners. The partnership will also support 40 stakeholders to ensure a wider roll-out. Citizens, commuters and visitors will benefit from the increased shared mobility offer. They will experience easier access to several modes of transport, using a MaaS-app.

Actual Achievements (EN):

Pilots Leuven launched the 2 pilots, one about shared mobility for all, the other one concerns the combined use Rotterdam's main achievements for the pilot: start of the mobility coach, explanation video's on shared mobility use, start of activating the residents. The MaaS provider tender was published. The municipality of Tønsberg, together with VFK, expanded the pilots from one regional hub at the railway station to three Upscaling Amsterdam finalised the communication plan and the upscaling plan and are working on 70 locations Amsterdam wide. Leuven worked behind the scenes, in coordination with the respective providers, to implement significant expansions in future. Additionally, a first draft of the digitalization plan was shared for feedback. The first draft of the design of the regional system for shared mobility of the VRA is ready and will be finished at the end of 2024. PROVU worked on a regional MaaS collaboration, the upscaling plan and the digitalization plan (which was shared for feedback) CRD has established the framework for the upcoming strategy. VFK has developed and made public a mobility data dashboard, which is a tool showing mobility data. Other achievements Autodelen.net created an updated draft of the agreement framework First impact analysis took place based on survey responses from Leuven and Tønsberg First ante-implementation accessibility impact analysis based on GIS data layers from Amsterdam and Leuven The Digital Participatory Platform (DPP) was elaborated in terms of content creation. Deliverables:

Organise working sessions to take stock of previous projects / To ensure cities that focus on upscaling shared mobility will use lessons from other projects. Pilot partners also take part to learn for their future upscaling strategies. Two sessions will be held, 1 about the hubs, 1 focused on the digital parts.

Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

The strategy aims to make all modes of transport more sustainable, to make alternatives widely available to enable better modal choices and to put in place incentives to drive the transition to zero-emission. This is exactly what the project does as we want to increase the amount of shared mobility hubs and to provide easy access with digital solutions. The project is also piloting with specific target groups engagement, contributing to making mobility fair and just for all.
Part of the Green Deal is the above described Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy. The transport related part of the Green Deal aims to achieve a reduction in transport related GHG-emission and to contribute to climate neutral cities as transport heavily impacts this at the moment. ShareDiMobiHub will result in less car use with a modal shift to zero-emission vehicles and more active mobility.
This agenda (a.o.) focuses on sustainable digital and physical connectivity of places, inviting spatial and transport planners to explore local and regional Mobility as a Service and to cooperate on multimodal accessibility of (and within) urban centers. The ShareDiMobiHub-project highly contributes to this as with the deployment of shared mobility hubs we make cities more accessible with multimodal options, connected (also digitally) with public transport.
The EU-digital strategy aims (a.o.) to provide digital technologies that help to reach climate neutrality. Mobility as a Service can be considered as such a technology. The project wants to connect shared mobility to MaaS. Furthermore, the strategy also focuses to increase access to high-quality data and to develop digital standards. This is also something the project wants to accomplish: enabling data exchange between MaaS-providers, transport operators and authorities, based on standards.
The programme 'Shared Mobility Naturally', is currently being developed and will be adopted this year. It aims to stimulate the uptake of shared mobility and focuses on 5 themes: Ensure that there is an integrated offer for the customer so that choices become clear Realising a sustainable data exchange to support policy making and implementation Harmonisation of policies and instruments Increasing awareness and use of shared mobility Sharing knowledge by creating a one-stop shop
The National Transport Plan provides the national framework for and contains measures that promotes innovative mobility solutions and new technology in the Norwegian transport system. The National Public Road Authority developed national guidelines for smart mobility in urban areas and small towns and a report which seeks to promote interoperability, open standards across cities, towns and regions.
This plan is the cornerstone of Germany's mobility policy and is consistent with the aims of the green rescue package following the COVID-19 outbreak. A special emphasis is given to the high level of flexibility afforded by smart mobility, with an intelligent combination of shared mobility options, such as carpooling, car sharing and bike sharing programs, and well-developed public transport services.
Hoppin is the new public transport program for Flanders that will kick off in July 1th 2023. It integrates different transport solutions in Flanders and helps travellers to get to their destination as efficiently as possible. With Hoppin, the Flemish government makes the mobility transition visible in the streetscape and recognisable for the user. This program will link mobility hubs with a public MaaS-program.
The plan focuses on 5 strategic development themes to create a coherent, reliable, effective and green mobility system before 2035.
