L'obiettivo del progetto è l'implementazione e il trasferimento di know-how tecnologico finalizzato al ripristino ambientale di aree degradate del fondale marino, attraverso attività di riforestazione con Posidonia oceanica. La regressione delle praterie di Posidonia oceanica sta infatti causando evidenti squilibri nella dinamica costiera con una progressiva diminuzione degli stock ittici di specie pregiate per la piccola pesca. Le attività del progetto intendono quindi trasferire un modello di recupero per assicurare l'inversione dei processi di impoverimento che attualmente colpiscono fortemente le coste tunisine.

L'objectif du projet est la réalisation et le transfert de savoir-faire technologique visant à la restauration environnementale des parties dégradées des fonds marins, par des activités de reboisement avec Posidonia oceanica. La régression des prairies de Posidonia oceanica provoque en fait des déséquilibres évidents dans la dynamique côtière avec une diminution progressive des stocks de poissons d'espèces précieuses pour la pêche à petite échelle. Les activités du projet viseront donc à transférer un modèle de récupération qui représente une étape importante pour assurer le renversement des processus d'appauvrissement qui affectent actuellement fortement les côtes tunisiennes.

Description (EN):

The goal of the project is the implementation and transfer of know-how for the environmental restoration of damaged portions of the seabed, through reforestation activities with Posidonia oceanica. The regression of Posidonia oceanica meadows is in fact causing obvious imbalances in the coastal dynamics with a progressive decrease of fish stocks of valuable species for small-scale fisheries. The project activities will therefore aim at transferring a recovery model that represents an important step to ensure the reversal of the depletion processes that currently strongly affect the Tunisian coasts.

Expected Results (IT):

Ripristino e protezione degli ecosistemi mediterranei di posidonia; attrazione di specie pregiate attraverso l'uso di materiali biopolimerici brevettati e la progettazione e installazione di strutture di protezione dei siti di reimpianto; trasferimento di competenze e implementazione di strategie di monitoraggio; scambi tematici e rafforzamento delle conoscenze; mobilità giovanile.

Expected Results (FR):

Restauration et protection des écosystèmes de la Posidonie de Méditerranée ; Attirer des espèces de valeur par l’utilisation de matériaux biopolymères brevetés, et la conception et l'installation de structures de protection du site de replantation ; Transfert de compétences et mise en œuvre de stratégies de surveillance ; Échanges thématiques et renforcement de connaissance ; Mobilité des jeunes.

Expected Results (EN):

Restoration and protection of Mediterranean Posidonia ecosystems; Attracting high-value species through the use of patented biopolymeric materials, and the design and installation of replanting site protection structures; Transfer of know-how and implementation of monitoring strategies; Thematic exchanges and enhancing knowledge; Youth mobility.
