To use robots in their workflows, small and medium-sized enterprises need graduates or experts in the field of robot automation. In order to meet this need, the Robot Hub Academie on the Upper Rhine will develop an action programme to encourage young people, students and doctoral students, or even professionals who want to develop new skills, to complete an engineering degree and to train themselves in the field of robotics. Throughout the project, Robot Hub Academy’s partners will carry out a comprehensive awareness campaign for the different target groups of the project. This will be done through visits to schools, participation in trade fairs, company visits, summer schools and presentations with the help of demonstrators. The project’s more specific actions include developing a certification for robots, hackathons, and days specifically promoting automation and robotics skills among women who are more remote from these professions. By the end of the project in 2026, the partners wanted to sensitise several hundred people from the different target groups and encouraged them to participate in their actions.
