Contribution to wider strategies and policies:
- Other
- With project activities we will contribute to the European Green Deal, making Europe the first climate neutral continent in the world, enabling to reach its climate targets by 2050 in a fair, cost effective and competitive way. At the same time we will contribute to green transition which presents a major opportunity for European industry by creating markets for clean technologies and product such as green and recycled materials - both are outputs of our project. The impact of circular and digital construction will be illustrated by new value chains in the urban and rural environment of the Central European regions involved, all of which enable to produce less emissions, the creation of sustainable, local and new jobs. With pilot activities and solutions in the project we will contribute to goal of Green deal to reduce emissions by at least 55% by 2030 (comparing 1990). With the project activities we follow the statement by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen: “By acting now, we can build for our future by design and choose a better, a healthier, and a more prosperous way.” This presents a critical opportunity for the construction industry to address its current practices and carbon footprint urgently. We will contribute to the new Circular economy action plan for a cleaner and more competitive Europe among others, which is one of the main building blocks of the EU Green Deal for sustainable growth. The EU’s transition to a circular economy will:
- - reduce pressure on natural resources
- - create sustainable growth and jobs
- - enable life cycle of products, eco design of the products, circular processes, sustainable consumption etc.
- The aims: to ensure that waste is prevented and the resources used are kept in the EU economy for as long as possible. For our project is important focus on avoiding waste altogether and transforming it into high-quality secondary resources that benefit from a well-functioning market for secondary raw materials.
- TerritorialAgenda2030 We are contributing to realisation aims of Territial Agenda 2030 (TA) - 'a (sustainable) future for all places' with project activities as are transnational cooperation in all Central Europe regions, jointly development of the pilots, hubs, strategy of circular and digital construction, digitalisation (Industry 4.0 – Construction 4.0) new knowledge, competences, solutions, etc:
- a) to circular economy in construction sector with circular value chains which are an important objective for a carbon/climate-neutral economy, because the circular economy aims to close material and energy loops through long-lasting - eco design, maintenance, repair, reuse, remanufacturing, refurbishing and recycling. Industrial symbiosis processes in regional value chains are important. We will mapping the cases of circular and digital construction and the same time the circularity which means in our case the managing of material flow. As the same time we will illustrate reusing and recycling products including green and recycled materials (concrete) for buildings / construction, on life-cycle assessment, a using BIM and to enquire construction industrial symbiosis processes;
- b) a common understanding that development needs and impacts of future developments differ between places in Europe, which can be increased through exchanges of knowledge and experiences gained from specific solutions and their related support schemes;
- c) cooperation and coordination between places, levels of governments, policy sectors and societal groups to address complex issues and utilise diverse potential and tools for enhancing integrated territorial or local development - focus on circular and digital construction (in our project: quintuple helix model);
- d) one of the project result will be a new innovative transnational strategy towards to circular and digital construction, which will build on regional / local assets and the capacity to innovate.
- EUStrategyAlpineRegion Project is contributing to the objective “To increase prosperity” by directly supporting
- “Cooperation between governmental bodies, academia, business and civil society”, included environment by setting-up quintuple -helix circular and digital construction and with hubs in urban and rural European Central Europe regions and by transnational interconnection of hubs into circular and digital construction network. It is also contributing to promote the transnational values chain in circular and digital construction and innovative green materials for construction sector produced from biomass and 100% recycled construction waste - principle zero waste - which is the core focus of circular economy system. We would like to contribute to strategy by fostering cooperation between organisations / project partners and with developing transnational solution for transnational challenges under programme priority competitiveness and sustainable development with digitalisation solutions.
- EUStrategyDanubeRegion With project activities we will contribute to existing priority pillar 'Innovative and socially responsible Danube region which is including the cooperation area such as eco-innovation, knowledge transfer, and skilled entrepreneurship including technological and non-technological innovation aspects. And at the same time also to the proposal of a new strategy Danube region to one of the priority PO 2- A greener, low-carbon Europe by promoting clean and fair energy transition, green and blue investment, the circular economy, climate adaptation and risk prevention and management and inside to priority to SO2.6 (vi) promoting the transition to a circular economy.
- EUStrategyBalticSeaRegion Project is contributing to the Policy Area ‘Innovation’ aims at promoting global competitiveness and growth of the Baltic Sea region through support for entrepreneurship, business development, science and increased innovation capacity with goals to achieve by exploiting the full potential of the Baltic Sea region in the fields of research and innovation, as well as in the case of medium sized enterprises (SMEs), and by attracting talents and investments utilising the Digital Single Market as a source. PA Innovation actions contribute to building an ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in the Baltic Sea region based on smart specialisation and sustainable growth. Partners in project ReBuilt are aware how important is a Baltic strategy objective “to increase prosperity by directly supporting “cooperation between stakeholders of the quintuple helix model in to circular and digital contraction economy in urban and rural areas and network. It is also contributing to “promote resource efficient approach” which is the core focus of circular economy model. Two partners are from EUSBSR region.
- EUStrategyAdriaticIonianRegion While the project tackles a sustainable economic development, in this way it contributes to economic growth and prosperity in the region and to better integration into the EU, which are also priorities of Adriatic and Ionian Region Strategy.
- While the project tackles a sustainable economic development, in this way it contributes to economic growth and prosperity in the region and to better integration into the EU, which are also priorities of Adriatic and Ionian Region Strategy.
- Other There are several other strategies and policies on European, national and regional level which will be followed during the project implementation and to which activities will be aligned to in order to get the most optimal results and high added values. Examples of EU policies to be followed are: A sustainable bioeconomy for Europe; New European Bauhaus, A Renovation Wave for Europe - greening our buildings, creating jobs, improving lives, Strategy for the sustainable competitiveness of the construction sector and its enterprises, Resource efficiency opportunities in the building sector, Construction and Demolition Waste protocol, Circular Economy Principles for Building Design, Waste Framework Directive, Digitalisation Strategies, etc.
