WE C Business empowers entrepreneurship and leadership among girls in the ages of 18-25. The Central Baltic economies experience relatively high youth unemployment rates, indicating the challenge of young graduates to enter the labour market. The second challenge that we still are facing in any country in the year 2022 is that it is more common that men start companies and are actives as CEO´s than women. With this project we want to encourage the target group to test their ideas and in an early age, see entrepreneurship as a potential path forward. We want young women to see the opportunities with international network and business. In today's labor market, entrepreneurial qualities are in demand by employers. A Swedish survey, conducted by Nova after the pandemic, shows that employers and recruiters are increasingly demanding qualities such as drive and communication. Our participants will be able to train their entrepreneurial skills, which will make them more competitive in the labor market. The success factor for the project is not necessarily about the number of startups but about how many of the participants that are closer to achieve their goals. Whether the goal is a start up, employment or a leading position. We see the opportunity to strengthen an entrepreneurial mindset and business capacity within young women - through inspiration, networking, role models of female leaders and entrepreneurs as mentors in the project and foremost through running their own company. We need an equal and healthy business climate that gives youth, both women and men, prerequisites to convert their ideas to sustainable operations and companies.

Actual Achievements (EN):

This first period has been all about building the project team, creating the training program, set the framework for our communication plan, creating marketing material, our webspace and starting to recruit the target group.The lead partner have led the work but done all of the operational work together with the two other partners. Our project group meet every second week digitally for meetings and followups. We have shared our thoughts, questions and we learn from each other and our different methods. Together we have created the framework for all three cycles in the project. This first period we have set the project profile and the communication plan about what we would like to communicate and how. We have a joined webspace together with the other project and also a landing place on google site where the target group can read more and sign up. We have created a project-Facebook and instagram account where we can market the training program to the girls and update the stakeholders about the project. We also created digital marketing materials to reach the target group. We released the Project's profile, logo, fonts, colors and symbols, posters and templates for poster creation, all of which we did taking into account the established guidelines. So far the project is working according to the time plan we have and all the partners contribute with their skills and good work. This second period has been about implementing all the planning before the start of the training program. At the beginning of the period, we were in the midst of intensive marketing and recruitment for our respective 25 participants, totaling 75 participants. We then gathered everyone for a joint physical 3-day event in Örebro, Sweden to mark the official start of the training program in cycle 1. Our project team continued to meet digitally every other week during this second period, where we shared our thoughts on the ongoing work and planned ahead. We have continued to build and fine-tune our program in detail as we followed our established guidelines and plans from period 1. Between meetings, we communicated via email and in our WhatsApp project group for smooth and quick feedback on our work. While we, as the lead partner, have led the work, all operational tasks have been carried out collaboratively with the two other partners. During this period, we further solidified our collaboration and relationship as all three partners physically met for 2 days in Liepaja, Latvia. At the end of the second period, we conducted 4 development group meetings and completed 10 out of 12 training modules across 20 sessions in cycle 1 of the training program. We have also initiated the marketing and recruitment efforts for cycle 2. So far, the project work has progressed according to the schedule, with all partners contribute their skills and experience as well as commitment and hard work.

BE the Future (Central Baltic project) (EN) | The three partners in this project has been partners in the CB project BE the future 2020-2022. The synergies we can se is:
1. We have built up a very good relation with a high level of trust between our organisations.
2. We have a really good teamwork and we know who has which speciality and competence.
3. We have during the BE the future project learnt how to handle all the administration within an CB project.
4. We have found a structure and learnt how to use this structure to build an even better CB project for female young entrepreneurs.
5. The age group from last project was 15-18. The age group in this project is 18-25. This means that some of the participants in the last project running their student company now can come back in this project and start a real company.

Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

EUStrategyBalticSeaRegion WE C Business project is contributing to fill in the goals from the EU strategy for the Baltic Sea Region by improving the competitiveness of the region through new and more (female) entrepreneurs in the region and to decrease unemployment among youth in the BSR.
The Project is as well contributing to connect people in the BSR by establishing contacts and relations over the national borders.
Under the Policy area Education we can find that our project contribute to reach the goal to improve the transition between education and labour market by fostering the entrepreneurial minds-sets and introducing practical experience of entrepreneurship.
Other EU youth strategy focus around three words; engage, connect and empower. This agrees well with the purpose of WE C Business. 11 goals have been highlighted in the strategy. Above all we see that WE C Business contribute to goal # 2, equality for all genders and goal # 7, quality employment for all.
Other Our project is linked to several strategies at local regional and european levels. First the project is connected to the Agenda 2030, mainly regarding gender equality (goal 5 and 8) . With this project, we also want to enhance the international partnership regarding our entrepreneurship and innovation network (goal 17).
Örebro Regional Development Strategi empazises the importance of: Strengthend competiveness: in regards to innovation, entrepreneurial activities, national attraction and global competiveness.
Örebro county; Action plan for enterprise and entrepreneurship has the following quote: "Entrepreneurship activities for young women and men is one way to create sustainable gender equality within enterprises". One of the action plan is to strengthen entrepreneurship amongst youth, women and citizens born abroad.
Estonia - Strategy 2035
The Estonia strategy highlights on some necessary changes, WE C Business mainly contributes to changes regarding changes in "skills and labour market" as we contribute to a "talent friendly society" and "preparing for future work".
Latvia 2030 - Sustainable Development Strategy
WE C Business is align with the Latvia 2030, both on its principles and its objectives. We can especially see the alignment, in regards to the Establishment of Creative Society , with a "...creatively active entrepreneur, so it is important to promote creativity as the main factor of competitiveness..." Also the second principle: Long-term Investments in Human Capital, suggests possible solutions close to what our project want to develop: "Improvement of self-employment possibilities." The main principle that supports our project is 4: Innovative and Eco-efficient Economy and one of its priorities: sub-Innovative Entrepreneurship.
