Overall objective: The protection of environmental resources in lake and alpine areas is furthered Specific objective: Residual waste reduced through waste reduction, reuse and recycling measures Main activities 1.1 Zero Waste Advisory Boards formation 1.2 Survey to evaluate amounts of different types of waste disposed/recycled/reused on household and municipal level 1.3 Transfer of know-how from ZW Europe 2.1 Educational and awareness raising campaign on separation; reuse and recycling of waste 2.2 Set up of waste separation tools and measures 2.3 Pilot activities on reuse and recycling of waste 3.1 Evaluation of conducted activities, best practices and implementation of improvements 3.2 Awards to best citizen and business initiatives aiming at further decrease of residual waste 3.3 Development of 5 and 1 O years Zero Waste city plans to continue on the path to Zero Waste

Expected Results (EN): Result 1: Platform for guiding local communities towards ZeroWaste towns created Result 2: Local communities encouraged and supported to reduce, recycle and reuse waste Result 3: Sustainability of Zero-Waste practices ensured

Expected Outputs (EN):

Improved the youth abilities for developing their own business ideas based on innovative skills, new competences and knowledge Increased opportunities for support to start-up businesses of young people involved in the project Increased support to young entrepreneurs and self-employment through local policies and incentives. 5268 inhabitants directly involved 5% of solid waste recycled 5000 persons served by improved solid waste collection 10 ha covered by joint management measures 30 % all businesses and organisations participating in joint actions in waste management
