- CreativeWear and CreativeWear+ (Interreg MED). The projects defined a cluster-based MED model for creativity-based Business Labs in CCI sectors. In CW the business model innovation (as a form of social/societal innovation) was tested through the creation of a transnational cluster of creative hubs by building firstly a local ecosystem of stakeholders (public-private-research-community) and then expanding these hubs on a transnational level through pilot exchange and clustering. Capitalisation of the CW model was further reinforced in CreativeWear Plus by the policy alignment of Hub activities towards the objectives of the European Green Deal. In CW+ the local communities of creatives identified specific thematic issues relevant to Circular Economy, In this way, the project further contributed to the objective of increasing transnational activity of clusters/hubs in creative industries by extending the scope and relevance of creative activities and entrepreneurs for social and sustainable business model innovation in the Med space and beyond. (FR) | The transferable model for the CreativeWear hubs transnational cluster will be used by REVIVE in defining the methodology of community building, network integration and definition of the translational cluster of community cooperatives and Mediterranean Digital Innovation Hubs. The project will uptake and adapt the overall governance structure, the roles of different external stakeholders, the management model of shared resources, and the innovation concepts and service models with which the hub interacts with local businesses. It will also adapt the projects' model policy instrument for the introduction of new regional innovation strategies within the Smart Specialisation context. Following the CreativeWear Plus approach, the REVIVE transnational cluster will be strengthened through policy alignment with the issues, processes, and methods of the European Green Deal. By providing access to technical expertise and testing, as well as the possibility to 'test before invest', EDIHs support companies to improve business/production processes, products, or services using digital technologies. They also provide innovation services, such as financing advice, training, and skills development that are central to successful digital transformation. Environmental issues are also taken into account, in particular with regard to the use of digital technologies for sustainability and circularity. In the framework of EDIH, the JRC has developed a practical handbook with good practices on investment in Digital Innovation Hubs. The handbook aims to support regional, national, and RIS3 (Regional Strategy for Research and Innovation for Smart Specialisation) implementation and policymaking. Projects developed new methods to increase the attractiveness of rural areas for housing and economic development that reduced the depopulation and improve the competitiveness of rural regions. The purpose was to promote regional development of rural areas in the direction of reducing reliance on agriculture and increasing the attractiveness of rural areas for economic development and employment.
- Specifically projects facilitated access of local actors to methodological sources of the immigration policies to attract people in rural areas. They created opportunities to meet players in this field and the exchange of good practices (seven examples of good practice, resulting in nine projects were produced). Project proposed innovative and experimental tools that promoted local products and services and the integration of new immigrants. PHILOXENIA Plus project was presented as good practice example by INTERACT programme – video is accessible here: https://youtu.be/50x-RLEJAIo (EN), PHILOXENIA and PHILOXENIAPlus - (Interreg MED Programme). Experiences gained from PHILOXENIA on help for setting up new economic activities and innovation activities that create jobs and promote local products and services will be transferred to tne new partnership. Project will also take up the cooperation opportunities between stakeholders dealing with similar rural development themes. Consequently based on past experiences the REVIVE project will inherit basic principles and the principles underlying the foundation for future associations responsible for promoting policies to attract / migration of people on rural areas and thus decrease the process of Brain-drain of youth from rural areas.
