Relevant linked projects:
- Herit -Data ( Interreg Med 2018-2022) (EN), Herit -Data ( Interreg Med 2018-2022) (FR) | HERIT-DATA tested solutions based on open data & technology to improve tourism flow management. Herit-Data results, tools and data can give some interesting insights on tourism flows in the hottest times of the day in summer season, which will go to nourish the data collection and analysis in the first phase of Cool Noons
- Within HERIT-DATA for example DURA implemented a crowd management application in Dubrovnik with elements of augmented reality. The app detects the number of people in real time and presents one of the two different narratives to the visitors. In times of lower attendance at the Palace, visitors have the opportunity to see a longer version of the audio guide with elements of augmented reality, and in times of higher attendance, visitors are presented with a shorter version of the multimedia guide. This way, an attempt will be made to stimulate visitors to come to the museum outside of peak hours when they are offered a more detailed guide through the museum.

- EUStrategyAdriaticIonianRegion The general objective of the EUSAIR is to promote economic and social prosperity and growth in the region by improving its attractiveness, competitiveness and connectivity.
- The strategy concerns 4 out of 6 countries of Cool Noons consortium (Albania, Croatia, Italy and Montenegro)
- Pillar 3 highlights the Adriatic and Ionian regions to be vulnerable to disasters and climate change's impact, and comprehensive actions to adapt to those circumstances are needed. thus pointing to enhancing cooperation in this area.
- Pillar 4 concerns sustainable tourism.
- -Diversification of the macro-region’s tourism products and services along with tackling seasonality of inland, coastal, and maritime tourism demand.
- -Improving the quality and innovation of tourism offer and enhancing the sustainable and responsible tourism capacities of the tourism actors across the macro-region.
- The specific objective for those pillars meet completely the objectives of Cool Noon
- Other The Transition Pathway for Tourism, linked to the European Commission’s new industrial strategy aiming to support the needed green and digital transformations of economic sectors, this Transition document outlines the measures needed to accelerate the green and digital transitions and improve the resilience of the tourism ecosystem.
- Cool noons meets specifically thres topics:

- Cool noons being a project encouraging innovation and sustainability in the urban space corresponds to the New Bauhaus pillars, which are:
- Enriching, inspired by art and culture, responding to needs beyond functionality.
- Sustainable, in harmony with nature, the environment, and our planet.
- Inclusive, encouraging a dialogue across cultures, disciplines, genders and ages.
- Other The EU adaptation strategy sets out how the European Union can adapt to the unavoidable impacts of climate change and become climate resilient by 2050.
- The Strategy has four principle objectives: to make adaptation smarter, swifter and more systemic, and to step up international action on adaptation to climate change.
- Cool noons will contribute to a faster and systemic adaptation.Tackling specifically urban tourism resilience, it will contribute to reducing carbon footprint and to improve the quality of life of targeted territory.
- Other The EU strategy for sustainable tourism highlights that sustainable tourism should take account of current and future economic, social and environmental impacts, addressing the needs of visitors, the industry, the environment and local communities; recalls that the tourism and travel industry creates an ecological footprint worldwide and to develop policies for preserving natural heritage and biodiversity, respecting the sociocultural authenticity of host communities, ensuring sustainability and delivering socio-economic benefits to all stakeholders;
- Furthermore the strategy encourages “ to propose new programmes to support innovation in the tourism sector through design thinking”.

- Other The MEDITERRANEAN STRATEGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT 2016-2025 aims to provide a strategic policy framework to secure a sustainable future for the Mediterranean region
- Cool Noons meets especially two objectives:
- - objective 3 “Planning and managing sustainable Mediterranean cities” and in particular the strategic direction 3.7 to Enhance urban resilience in order to reduce vulnerability to risks from natural and human-induced hazards including climate change
- objective 4 “ Addressing climate change as a priority issue for the Mediterranean”
- Tourism is quoted several times in the strategy as a development factor, essential for mediterranean economies. Cool noons aims to work on the sustainability of urban tourism while improving urban conditions of life.
- Other With the European Green Deal, the EU is increasing its climate ambition and actions at becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050.
