ongoingRelevant linked projects:
- P1 – CREATIVEWEAR – Interreg MED
- CreativeWear project revitalizes the crisis-ridden Textile & Clothing (T&C) sector through a new attention to creativity, personalized design, and artisan as well as small-scale production for territorially specific value chains in customer-driven business models.
- CreativeWear project extends the on-going H2020 TCBL project (which complements techno-industrial with social innovation to return 5% of capacity to Europe and attain a 20% reduction in environmental impact by 2025) to creative clusters in the Mediteranean space, integrating them into the broader TCBL ecosystem. CreativeWear aims both to recover and valorize the design heritage and tacit “making” knowledge of T&C in Mediterranean cultures (MED-Texmedin) T&C and to bring new energy to creative clusters by reinforcing their creativity-based innovation capacity and integrating their activity into emergent transnational value chains (CreativeMED).
- CreativeWear tests adaptation of the TCBL network model to existing creative clusters such as museums, creative hubs, fashion schools, design centers, volunteer organizations. The transferrable CreativeWear model allows for greater coherence with ERDF and ESF policy frameworks in different national and regional contexts. (EN), P1 – CREATIVEWEAR – Interreg MED

- Fostering economic growth and development, while ensuring that natural assets continue to provide the resources and environmental services on which prosperity relies, is no more a choice but an imperative for economic and social future wellbeing of people. Although green transition will not take off without financing and assure the financing of innovation in green sectors has become a common concern for all MED countries and regions. To answer this challenge, a pool of regions, clusters, business support organisations, knowledge providers and development agencies joined in the finMED project, whose aim is to boost the financing of innovation in green growth sectors through improved delivery of policies and strategies and the introduction of innovative cluster services.
- The project delivers concrete outputs and results in three fields:
- 1- Public policies delivery, by developing and adopting new concepts, principle and practices to finance green growth strategies;
- 2- Innovation and business environment, by improving interaction and collaboration (at regional and transnational level) among involved stakeholders and bridging the gap among enterprises and financers;

- The project aims to demonstrate the usefulness (benefit and added value) of a digital on-line platform at European level for the cataloguing, use and exploitation of industrial waste produced in a local area, in order to foster the overall efficiency of industrial processes through the increased use of waste within the area itself and less reliance on disposal, obtaining:
- - reduction of used raw materials (replaced by waste material)
- - reduction of waste itself (shifted to by-products)
- - reduction of disposal of waste (alternative treatments)
- - reduction of energy resources
- - reduction of water resources (FR), P8 – M3P – Life project 2014-2020

- - VERDEinMED could take advantage of the “Material Match Making Platform” (A1.2) which will allow SMEs of each local network to know and find new market possibilities for their scraps/waste or to find alternatives to the used raw materials (A2.1 & A2.4)
- - Additionally, a base of enterprises could be created, in which the knowledge, the information and the conclusions extracted by the Knowledge Platform (A1.2), Technical Assistance Service (A2.2) and VERDE Academy (A2.4), could be disseminated (FR), Diadyma as M3P partner will contribute in the following way:

- The EMBRACED project intends to demonstrate in a relevant industrial environment a circular model of integrated biorefinery based on the valorisation of the cellulosic fraction of post-consumer Absorbent Hygiene Products (AHP) waste towards the production of biobased building blocks, polymers, and fertilizers.
- The project makes use of:
- - Cascading approach, where all fractions from the process will be valorised to obtain marketable end-products fully competitive in terms of cost, quality and sustainability
- - Circular economy approach, closing the cycle of raw materials and minimizing the use of primary resources, through the establishment of virtuous models of cooperation among all the involved stakeholders (FR), P9 – EMBRACED – Funding Programme: Horizon2020

- - VERDEinMED will be inspired by the Forum of Circular Economy organized in the framework of the project, which gathered all kind of stakeholders across the circular economy sector, to discuss and outline plans (A3.4 & A3.2)
- - The methodology of organizing this Forum could be a roadmap for VERDEinMED partners to organise the thematic workshops (A1.3)

- The MED-InA project aims to develop and roll out a methodology for a “Zero Waste” public policy adapted to Mediterranean cities as an exemplary and participatory approach for waste reduction, reuse and recycling. Mediterranean cities on both sides of the sea face important environmental challenges and increasing costs to collect and treat waste, including expansive investments in landfills or incinerators. The Zero Waste approach offers an alternative option and aims to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills or incinerators through waste prevention, reuse, recycling and development of local activities. MED-InA approach is based on a wide local stakeholders consultation and coordination, to facilitate the adoption of “low tech-low cost” technologies and best practices. Besides the deployment of plastic and biomass sorting and treatment of waste solutions, project is implementing pilot operations reaching 6,000 households in order to test technical solutions centred on citizens' behaviour changes and developing business opportunities in favour of circular economy. Pilot projects will use an innovative coaching solution based on Behavioural Sciences and digital technologies and adapted to psycho-social attitudes of each territory.
