- TeRRItoria is a Horizon 2020 project which aimed at positioning regions and local authorities as places for science governance, education, public engagement, ethics, and open access. TeRRItoria operated in a context of transition in European society, which is often critical. For territorial governance, this shift and transition can be a challenge to the usual strategies and measures fostering economic development and social cohesion. Tools developed:
- Territorial RRI Matrix and tools (Deliverable 3.3): the matrix is intended as a framework for identifying potential governance challenges for the implementation of RRI approach at territorial level involving different actors from the Quadruple Helix.
- FutuRRI process: using Futures and Foresight methodologies to involve stakeholders in defining policy priorities on a specific topic and immagine possible future solutions to complex societal challenges. BLUE ECOSYSTEM will build on these tools for the tailoring and adaptation of this robust theoretical approach and methodology in blue sustainable economy.

- (FR), Blue bio MED - Concluded (EN), Blue bio MED - Concluded (FR) | BLUEBIOMED is a strategic project co-financed by the Interreg Mediterranean programme that supports better governance of blue bioeconomy innovation policies bridging the transnational governance frameworks active in the Mediterranean area (i.e. UfM, UNEP-MAP, EUSAIR, WestMed, Bluemed Initiative, etc.) with the territorial – regional/national – policy making, assuming the Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as the common reference grid. BLUEBIOMED developed a governance model of innovation policies to tackle complex challenges and test an innovative approach through policy experiments triggering the cooperation of the quadruple helix stakeholders for interregional innovation investments. The four experiments focus on circularity in sustainable aquaculture, recovery from the sea and recycling of macro-plastics waste, reducing and eradicating the impact of invasive alien species, digitalisation of the blue bioeconomy. These became the main thematic area of the Mediterranean Alliance for Blue Sustainable economy -MedIA-SBB an informal coalition of organisations and a community of people going beyond the project duration (ended on September 2022). The MedIA-SBB is intended as a tool to improve opportunities for networking, exchanges of experiences, cooperation, advocacy and increasing visibility. BLUE ECOSYSTEM will rely on main project outputs such: Conceptual framework and mapping methodology, Multi-Stakeholder policy experiment approaches, Governance model to align multi-stakeholder networks.
- In addition the MedIA-SBB will be the main reference for blue bioeconomy in order to contribute to challenge priorities, promote and engagement for the Transnational call for Blue Transformative Innovations, TRAIN lab acceleration process and BLUE-ECOMATCH transnational event (WP1 and WP2).

- B-Blue is a strategic project co-financed by the Interreg Mediterranean programme that support the Blue Biotechnologies living labs. They have been used to attract stakeholders with relatively limited resources and a stronger need for rapid returns to participation, such as civil society organisations. The stakeholders to be involved in the living labs were identified through a mapping exercise by each of the project partners, being especially relevant to the identification of frontrunners due to their experience and knowledge of the local blue biotechnology value chain. PMM-TVT and ENEA as associated partner will assure the legacy and stakeholder involvement in particular in the specific domain of blue biotechnology.

- Building on the Blue Med national hubs the project will engage stakeholders related to protection of marine ecosystems, zero-pollution, and circular blue economy. Best practise exchanges, network of experts, coalition of organisations especially these related to aquaculture and environmental sustainability as well as effective participatory workshops exploring the multi stakeholder lab concept as an effective tool for knowledge sharing and decision making will contribute for the purposes of BLUE ECOSYSTEM, the development of Blue Train Labs and related missions. Collaboration to avoid duplication (in particular taking into account specific challenges and territories involved) will be assured from HCMR and CNR associated partner in particular in the common implementation countries (France, Spain, Italy, Greece). Synergies and mutual exchanges will be in particular in countries not included in the CSA (eg Portugal, Croatia, Cyprus, Albania included in BLUE ECOSYSTEM but not in CSA). - (FR), ARGOS - ITALY-CROATIA - ongoing (FR), ARGOS - Italy-Croatia Programme - on going (EN) | ARGOS is a project approved within the Interreg Italy-Croatia Programme, that will end in June 2023. Its main objectives are to: 1. Establishing and encouraging a common coordinated framework and strengthening the institutional dialogue for a sustainable and shared management of marine resources, putting together Institutions dealing with fisheries and aquaculture; 2. Protecting fishing resources and 3. Improving fishing techniques oriented toward environmental sustainability. Recommendations and final outputs are relevant as they come from results of multidisciplinary activities such as: 1. Maritime Spatial Planning studies to deepen the overlaps in the use of marine space 2. Assessment of interactions between environmental management and social-economic impacts 3. Standardization of existing data on Adriatic biological resources 4. Running of bio-economic models for stock assessments 5. Implementation of pilot actions 6. Definition of a cross border network to share project results and define the best practices for training operators towards environmental sustainability and the adoption of responsible practices in fisheries and aquaculture. The Adriatic Advisory Council and Steering Committee activities, as a process for governance, will aim at defining common measures for the sustainable management of fisheries and aquaculture activities, in the framework of the protection of the marine Adriatic environment, consequently actions, knowledge and outputs will be shared and capitalized.
- Synergies are foreseen for challenge priorities and transformative innovation call definition as regards the innovation domain of sustainable aquaculture and small fisheries (WP1 and WP2).
