- NAUTICA CBC (PA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro 2014-2020) (EN) | NAUTICA CBC project (FPZ was LP, PP4 was PP) was targeted HR-MNE cross-border area and cities Stari Grad and Kotor where annual rate of 6,9% of increasing number of nautical tourists contributes with 6,5% to the targeted counties overall economic development as being greater than the general rate of economic growth, thus becoming great opportunity. Main objective of NAUTICA CBC was to strengthen, diversify and integrate the cross-border tourism offer of new joint nautical tourism in targeted area of HR and MNE through joint new tourist products, improved facilities/infrastructure and new gained knowledge and sectoral skills. Project outputs: OT1.2 Innovative joint mobile application “NAUTICA CBC”, OT1.4 60 persons from HR&MNE successfully trained on safety and security in nautical tourism. The capitalization and synergy with NAUTICA CBC activities will be guaranteed by the presence of two member of its consortium (LP and PP4). Both partners are involved in activities whose outcomes and expertise gained in the 360 degrees georeferenced recording at sea in HR and ME, training activities on safety and security in nautical tourism; and mapping and validation of cultural and natural heritage will be useful in the implementation of pilot actions of WP2 and development and certification of training programme "Innovative Marine Robotics Deployment". (EN), Strengthening Research and Innovation Excellence in Autonomous Aerial Systems (HORIZON 2020) (EN) | This HORIZON project implemented by LP, builds on the successes of the previous AeroTwin twinning project: the aim is to enlarge the capacity and recognition of higher education institutions in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the field of AAS (Autonomous Aerial Systems) applications, in order to enlarge capacity for research and innovation, and to prepare and establish a long lasting and integrated cooperation between those institutions and their partners in the local ecosystem. MARROBO project will benefit from synergy with this project as methodology for autonomous aerial systems will be researched while designing and creating autonomous underwater systems - innovative marine robotic and determination of needed technical characteristics and functionalities. Already established network of HEIs from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina is a good example of innovation research in the field of autonomous systems development and deployment for applicable benefits. - (EN) | The Municipality of Neum (PP2) participated as a partner in Tourismed Plus project with partners from Spain, Italy, France and Montenegro in organized lectures on the the importance of public-private partnerships and sustainable tourism strategies. The main Tourismed Plus results will be exploited within MARROBO project within capacity building (Human Resources and specialized innovative equipment) for marine environment monitoring- correlation with Tourism Plus sustainable fishing and tourism activities.

- (EN) | MARROBO project will capitalize the synergy and scientific knowledge of UNIDU (PP3) and its highly relevant departments for project implementation: Maritime Department and the Department of Applied Ecology focused on marine environment management and aquaculture. UNIDU gained valuable knowledge and experiences through implementation of projects (as partner): ProtectAs, Blue Connect and Modus (dealing with the protection of the marine environment and vessel movements in the marine environment). Knowledge and experiences gained from the Blue Connect will provide valuable insights into the potential of innovative technologies and practices for enhancing sustainability and protecting the marine environment, which will significantly benefit MARROBO project. As UNIDU organized several workshops and presentations to the general public, experience they gained on transferring knowledge will be valuable for involvement of target groups and dissemination of WP2 results to the general public and to attract interest for development of innovative blue technologies, digitalisation and protection of the marine environment. As the ProtectAs project also dealt with protecting the marine environment from pollution from ships, UNIDU researchers developed skills needed for the MARROBO project. Valuable knowledge gained from the ProtectAs project (such as analysis of marine traffic and frequency) will help in WP2 and facilitate determining action sites for the MARROBO project.
- To effectively build on the available knowledge and experiences from previous projects, the MARROBO project will establish strong partnerships and collaborations with the stakeholders. Through these collaborations, the MARROBO project can ensure that its activities are informed by the best available knowledge and experiences while also contributing to its specific objectives (EN), MARBLE (INTERREG V-B Adriatic-Ionian ADRION program)
- (EN) | MARBLE project (PP2 is PP in this project in progress) aims to develop competencies and skills in maritime robotics application by supporting the preparation of an joint Master program on maritime robotics in the blue economy. The MARBLE and MARROBO projects are addressing coherent fields of interest focused on marine environmental protection, marine robotics, transfer knowledge, development of skills, and the innovation of higher education, taking into account main difference between them: MARROBO develops output accredited training programme "Innovative Robotic Deployment" as informal training available to all interested participants while MARPLE programme is dedicated for students on graduate study (with prerequisite - completed undergraduate study). The main synergy with the MARBLE project will be developed through the involvement of MARPLE project team and stakeholders in Demo training (WP1). These two projects would be compatible and supportive in their successful implementation and sustainability of them.

- (EN) | BLUEWBC (PP4 was PP) gathered the capacities of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in programme countries and partner countries to improve Blue Economies in Montenegro and Albania, through better education in innovation and entrepreneurship. The project aimed at achieving sustainable development of Blue economies in partner countries through improvements in their education in bachelor and master studies with innovation and entrepreneurship concepts. The synergy of the MARROBO and BLUEWBC projects is primarily manifested in the orientation towards the blue economy and innovations. MARROBO contributes to Blue Growth by implementing pilot actions that include innovative marine robotics to protect marine environment in the tourism, fishing, and aquaculture sectors. Both projects contribute to the educational and training process in the form of new curricula, materials, or courses. The MARROBO project will create and develop innovative practices and teaching methodologies on blue technologies. Synergy of MARROBO project with BLUEWBC is also reflected through establishment of MARIC (within Act.1.1) where achievements and results in sustainable development of Blue economies in partner countries through improvements in their education in bachelor and master studies with innovation and entrepreneurship concepts will be uptaken.

- (EN) | MEP&M project (PP4 is PP in this project in progress) aims to start a two-year master's program in English in the field of protection and management of the marine environment, for students and people from business. The project improves and builds the technical and human resources of higher education institutions and connect key participants in preventive action and proactive problem-solving for the southern part of the Adriatic Sea and the northern part of the Ionian Sea, which a direct consequence of regional sea pollution. The synergy of MEP&M and MARROBO projects is reflected in the orientation toward the protection and management of the marine environment and the transfer of knowledge and skill. Also, synergy is manifested through the development and introduction of curricula on skills in the application of marine robotics. Research and training that are planned within the MARROBO project on a long-term plan can be part of the master's program realized by the MEP&M project. This indicates the sustainability of the results of the MARROBO project. (EN), WREKS4ALL (Interreg IPA Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina 2014-2020)
- (EN) | FoMS Kotor was LP in WREKS4ALL project with the main goal to valorize the tourist offer for the underwater cultural heritage of the Eastern Adriatic. WRECKS4ALL project integrates immersive technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) to bring unreachable sites closer to tourists. The project also supports the development of training programmes adapted to the needs of the digital cultural heritage sector and, explores the benefits and potentials of the scuba diving tourism industry. FoMS coordinates a range of capacity building activities in the areas of underwater archaeology and scuba diving tourism. The synergy of the MARROBO and WRECKS4ALL project is in the application of MR (VR/AR) technology, especially in the part of the VR education and the preparation of VR materials and content related to the protection of underwater area.

The project contributes to the specific objectives of PILLAR 3 (Environmental quality) - topic 1 (The marine environment) by addressing the issue of environmental quality and protection of the marine environment and ensuring that aquatic and marine resources are used sustainably through innovative technology and smart solutions (WP1, WP2). In this way, the project will contribute to reducing the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of ecosystem services and restoring them where possible by identifying threats to marine biodiversity. 2. It contributes to the specific objectives of PILLAR 3 (Blue Growth) – topics 1 (Blue technologies) and 3 (Maritime and marine governance and services) by testing new technologies and innovative solutions to promote sustainable marine activities and economic development in tourism, fisheries and aquaculture (WP1, WP2, WP3) and supporting cooperation between public authorities, business organisations and research institutions. - Other HORIZON Europe Strategic Plan (2021-2024) - One of the key strategic orientations for investment targeting identified in the first Horizon Europe Strategic Plan is to accelerate and manage the digital and green transformation through people-centred technologies and innovation, sustainable management of natural resources to ensure clean and healthy environment, and the empowerment of all citizens to act in the context of the green and digital transformation. This strategy also identifies the European co-funded and co-programmed partnerships. For the project partners, the most interesting partnerships are in the cluster of climate, energy and mobility, such as the European Partnership on zero-emission waterborne transport. In addition to the strategic priorities already mentioned, to which MARROBO will contribute, it will also contribute to research and innovation under the Restore our Ocean and Waters mission, which aims to protect and restore the health of our oceans and waters by 2030 through research and innovation, citizen engagement and blue investment, as all life on Earth depends on a healthy ocean and clean waters. - Other .The Marine Strategy Framework Directive 2008/56/EC was transposed into Croatian and Montenegrin law with the adoption of the Regulation for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Regulation on the Preparation and Implementation of Documents of the Strategy for the Management of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Area. The Regulation establishes the starting points and benchmarks for the preparation, development, implementation and monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy for the Protection of the Marine Environment or the so-called "Marine Strategy", the preparation of which is required by law under the Croatian and Montenegrin acts. BiH started process for adopting this Directive.
- The main purpose of the Directive is to achieve and maintain good environmental status in the marine environment by meeting the general objectives of protection of the marine environment, which include

Aspiration to membership in the EU is the main driver of the improvement and finalization of the strategic and legal framework for environmental protection.In order to implement policies and regulations in accordance with the acquis of the EU in the field of environment, taking into account request for comprehensive environmental protection strategy of BiH. In accordance with the Law, the Strategy defines the goals and environmental protection priorities in the Federation of BiH, the way to achieve them, the financial and institutional framework for implementation, monitoring, evaluation and reporting. MARROBO is fully in line with this strategy as marine environment is targeted to be monitored and protected.
- Other Water management strategy of the Federation BiH 2022-2032, FBiH Government, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2022. - The strategic goal of the Water Management Strategy is protection of water quality and ensuring security of water resources and their sustainability. The monitoring of water quality in the water area of the Adriatic Sea was started again in 2000. MARROBO project objective are fully coherent with this strategy topics and actions.
- Other EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive, EC, 2008. - the main aim is to protect the marine environment across Europe. MARROBO is aligned with the aim of the MSFD to achieve a good ecological status of EU marine waters and to sustainably protect the resource base on which economic and social activities related to the sea depend. The project will especially contribute to the MSFD recommendations on maximum acceptable levels for impulsive and continuous underwater noise.

- Based on the strategic vision of the development of Montenegro four priority areas were defined.
