Description (EN):

The number of accidents in recreational cycling is increasing dramatically and preventive work is needed to raise awareness so that less happens in the future. From the point of view of those involved in the project, the reasons for accidents often lie with the individual, rather than with the sports equipment itself. Following dialog and an exchange of experiences, it was agreed to launch an online campaign to show a broad spectrum of cycling enthusiasts that accidents can be avoided through preparation and planning.

Die Unfallzahlen im Freizeitradsport nehmen sowohl in Tirol als auch in Bayern drastisch zu und Präventivmaßnahmen sind erforderlich, um die Bewusstseinsbildung dahingehend zu fördern, dass zukünftig weniger passiert. Aus Sicht der Projektbeteiligten liegen die Gründe für Unfallereignisse oft beim Einzelnen, weniger beim Sportgerät selbst. Man einigte sich nach Dialog und Erfahrungsaustausch auf eine Online-Kampagne, die einem breiten Spektrum an Hobby-Radsportbegeisterten aufzeigt, dass durch Vorbereitung und Planung Unfälle vermeidbar sind. Eine Projektgruppe bestehend aus Vertreter:innen der Kuratorien für Alpine Sicherheit, Bergwacht, Tourismusverbänden und Initiativen wurde zu dem gemeinsamen Thema Sicherheit im Freizeitradsport gebildet. Die Expertisen aller Beteiligten werden für die Projektentwicklung und Umsetzung genützt. Der Gedanke der grenzüberschreitenden Zusammenarbeit ist zentral, da beiderseits der Grenze der selbe signifikante Anstieg der Unfallzahlen feststellbar ist. Mit diesem Projekt soll das Bewusstsein bei Touristen und Einheimischen gebildet werden, was zu einer umfassenden/sicheren Tourenplanung dazu gehört. Weiters soll eine Sensibilisierung für das Hinterfragen von Inhalten und Angeboten in Tourenportalen/Apps stattfinden. Es wird erwartet, dass die Zielgruppe besser über eine sichere Planung und Durchführung von Touren informiert ist und somit potentielle Gefahrensituationen und Unfälle vermieden werden. Den Projektbeteiligten ist eine Kampagne mit diesem Fokus noch nicht bekannt, daher hat die Kampagne Modellcharakter für die Promotion einer sicheren Tourenplanung im Freizeitradsport und hat das Potential auch in andere alpine Regionen übertragen zu werden. Expected Achievements (DE): Senkung der Unfallzahlen bzw. Abflachung der Entwicklungskurve in diesem Bereich. Bewusstseinsbildung und Erklärung der Eigenverantwortung. Darstellung der Ergebnisse in Publikationen.
