Description (EN):

The two border communities are separated by the visible and natural border (the Inn), but are very close to each other. By crossing at this point by means of a ferry, the places are connected to each other in central places for the pedestrian and the cyclist. The aim is to bring the long history of the Inn to life as an important trade route for visitors to the Euregio Inntal region. Plates are the traditionally keelless, largely box-shaped wooden work vessels, which are used in the Alpine Danube region for a wide variety of applications (also called plates, in Hallstatt also called carriages). The tiles are characterised by their distinctive tip forward, which is called ‘gransel’ or ‘gansing’. With a flat over the Inn, as 100 years ago, is certainly an unforgettable experience, whether you explore the border region on foot or by bike. It is also exciting that you enter another country with the crossing. For hikers and cyclists, a direct connection is thus created to experience the border river Inn on the Bavarian and Tyrolean sides. The kickoff kicks off a series of workshops on the history of the Inn as a trade route. For this purpose, two speakers will be presented. On the ferry itself as at the start and finish points, a signage to the history of the Inn and the Inn shipping is provided. With this attraction, the Inn and its history will be valued. Project start 01/12/2022; End date: 30.11.2023.

Description (DE):

Die beiden Grenzgemeinden werden durch die sichtbare und natürliche Grenze (den Inn) voneinander getrennt, liegen jedoch sehr nah beieinander. Durch die Querung an dieser Stelle mittels einer Fähre-Plätte, werden die Orte an zentralen Stellen für den Fußgänger und den Radfahrer miteinander verbunden. Dabei geht es darum, die lange Historie des Inns als wichtiger Handelsweg für BesucherInnen der Euregio Inntal Region erlebbar zu machen. Plätten sind die traditionell kiellosen, weitgehend kastenförmigen hölzernen Arbeitsschiffe, die im Alpen-Donauraum für die verschiedensten Anwendungen genutzt werden (auch Plättl, in Hallstatt auch Fuhr genannt). Die Plätten zeichnen sich durch ihre unverwechselbare Spitze nach vorne aus, die man „Gransel“ oder „Gansing“ nennt. Mit einer Plätte über den Inn, wie vor 100 Jahren, ist sicherlich ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, ob man zu Fuß oder per Fahrrad die Grenzregion erkundet. Spannend ist es hierbei auch, dass man mit der Überfahrt ein anderes Land betritt. Für den Wanderer und Radfahrer ist somit eine direkte Verbindung geschaffen, um den Grenzfluss Inn auf der bayerischen sowie der Tiroler Seite zu erleben. Mit der Kickoff wird eine Workshopreihe zur Historie des Inns als Handelsweg begonnen. Dazu werden 2 ReferentInnen vortragen. Auf der Fähre selbst wie an den Start- und Zielpunkten wird eine Beschilderung zur Historie des Inns und der Innschifffahrt vorgesehen. Mit dieser Attraktion wird der Inn und seine Geschichte in Wert gesetzt werden. Projektbeginn 01.12.2022; Enddatum: 30.11.2023.

Expected Achievements (EN): Only through the ferry can the project goal be achieved. No special permits are required for the implementation of the ferry. Appropriate certificates of competency for the operation of the ferry shall be provided to the "drivers".

Expected Achievements (DE): Nur durch die Fähre ist das Projektziel zu erreichen. Es werden für die Implementierung der Fähre keine speziellen Genehmigungen benötigt. Für den Betrieb der Fähre sind für die "Schiffsführer" entsprechende Befähigungsnachweise vorzuhalten.
