Particularly important is the promotion of regional tourism in Tennengau and Berchtesgaden in general as well as in the municipalities of Hallein (with Bad Dürrnberg) and Berchtesgaden (with Obersalzberg) in particular through the cross-border connection of tourist highlights by means of an attractive and sustainable mobility solution with new features. What is new and unique for the region is that by using a multilingual audio system in the buses, international guests can be perfectly prepared for the sights in their respective national languages and the route can be made extremely entertaining. The aim of the project and the use of the globally proven HOP ON HOP OFF system is to bring guests comfortably and environmentally friendly to various attractions in the region and to encourage them to stay longer in the region. This contributes to the climate-neutral mobility of guests on site and, more broadly, to visitor guidance. Thanks to the multilingual audio guide system, the project is of course aimed specifically at international guests who are informed and "picked up" in their local language, as well as - through the planned use of their own children's channel - especially at school classes and children's groups who receive age-appropriate cultural information. This new, additional tourist offer can and should have a positive influence on the original choice of the holiday destination (shortly formulated: Ideally, more guests should come to the region, stay longer and feel better cared for) and take into account the factor of satisfaction (through information in their own national language). Similarly, natural and cultural peculiarities in the EUREGIO are valued in the networking of tourism and mobility actors. Besonderes Anliegen ist die Förderung des Regionaltourismus im Tennengau und in Berchtesgaden im allgemeinen sowie in den Gemeinden Hallein (mit Bad Dürrnberg) und Berchtesgaden (mit Obersalzberg) im besonderen durch die grenzüberschreitende Verbindung touristischer Highlights mittels einer attraktiven und nachhaltigen Mobilitätslösung mit neuen Features. Neu und unique für die Region ist, dass durch den Einsatz eines mehrsprachigen Audiosystems in den Bussen internationale Gäste perfekt auf die Sehenswürdigkeiten in ihren jeweiligen Landessprachen vorbereitet und der Anfahrtsweg überaus kurzweilig gestaltet werden können. Mit dem Projekt und dem Einsatz des weltweit bewährten HOP ON HOP OFF-Systems sollen die Gäste komfortabel und umweltfreundlich zu verschiedenen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Region gebracht und insgesamt zu einer längeren Verweildauer in der Region animiert werden. Damit wird ein Beitrag zur klimaneutralen Mobilität der Gäste vor Ort und im weiteren Sinne auch zur Besucherlenkung geleistet. Durch das mehrsprachige Audioguide-System zielt das Projekt natürlich speziell auf internationale Gäste ab, die in ihrer Landessprache informiert und "abgeholt" werden, sowie - durch den geplanten Einsatz eines eigenen Kinderkanals - besonders auch auf Schulklassen und Kindergruppen, die altersgerecht aufbereitete Kulturinformationen erhalten. Dieses neue, zusätzliche touristische Angebot kann und soll positiv Einfluss auf die originäre Wahl der Urlaubsdestination (verknappt formuliert: es sollen idealerweise mehr Gäste in die Region kommen, länger bleiben und sich besser betreut fühlen) und auf den Faktor der Zufriedenheit (durch Informationen in der jeweils eigenen Landessprache) nehmen. Ebenso werden naturräumliche und kulturelle Besonderheiten in der EUREGIO in der Vernetzung von Tourismus- und Mobilitätsakteuren in Wert gesetzt.
