Relevant linked projects:
- Urban Transports (Interreg MED)
- The project promoted sustainable urban mobility planning in the Euro-Mediterranean region as an effective tool to reduce carbon emissions and improve the quality of life of the population and the environment.
- The project was the second phase of a horizontal project (GO SUMP) aimed at coordinating and promoting synergies between the MED projects dealing with the topic of sustainable urban mobility. Urban Transports brought the capitalisation process to the next level by providing local authorities with a tailor-made support to implement the replicable solutions developed and tested by the previous projects.
- Both Area and Civinet were partners of the project.
- (EN) | SMARTMOBAIR capitalizes and builds up on several deliverables from Urban Transports:
- - the catalogue of solutions i.e. a database of solutions developed and tested by former MED projects several of whom dealing with ICT. The lessons learnt included in the database could help in avoiding mistakes and replicating winning solutions;
- - the report on technology scenarios for connected and automated vehicles infrastructure planning includes valuable technical analysis for understanding technology trends and planning urban mobility taking into consideration the future evolution of technologies and their impact on urban planning;
- - the policy briefs released by the project define also important guidelines for mobility planning in the Mediterranean area that includes the Adriatic Ionian region;
- CIVINET led the mentoring process that brought together the pioneer cities with replicators that aspired to replicate good practices. The lessons learned in the framework of the mentoring process will be used in the SMARTMOBAIR project so as to better plan the project activities and to ensure a successful mentoring program between partner territories and replicators and suitably adapt the content and format of transferring activities. (EN), INCIRCLE (Interreg MED)
