Relevant linked projects:
- TRIBUTE - ADRION - THIRD CALL FOR PROPOSALS - PRIORITY AXIS 3 (EN) | The project aims to provide more efficient solutions and mobility services tailored to citizens’ new travel behaviors and needs. TRIBUTE aims at creating and testing integrated innovative tools and actions in the Adriatic-Ionian cities, by means of creation and the implementation of eight living labs on sustainable urban mobility, which will be used to discuss transport policies and solutions (best practices), share views about the future needs following a participatory approach involving governmental institutions, businesses, researchers, and citizens (i.e. the quadruple helix). The results will converge into eight action plans and pilot actions including innovative and sustainable solutions ranging from innovative public transport and on-demand responsive services using electric vehicles, to “green” cycling routes network and integrated management systems of public transport and cars along highly congested corridors.
- In so doing, TRIBUTE will promote transnational cooperation between public authorities and their transport entities, allowing for the creation of a transnational strategy devoted to policymakers and planners towards new mobility agendas for sustainable, integrated, and inclusive transport systems in the AI Region.
- Efficient mobility solutions, sustainable urban mobility, innovative public transport, “green” cycling routes and decreasing traffic congestion are the key synergies with CITYMOVE.
- (EN), EnerMOB - ADRION - FIRST CALL FOR PROPOSALS (EN) | The ADRION area is featured by inadequate coverage and accessibility of public charging infrastructures in order to enable electric vehicles to circulate in the ADRION regions, not to mention the lack of common standards needed for the operation of such infrastructure. Such criticality generates a limitation for the medium and long range trips within the ADRION regions for the use of electric vehicles. In this framework, the ENERMOB project aims to study and support common solutions for electric transport systems at interurban and interregional level, by implementing pilot networks of charging infrastructures and by assessing sustainable technologies to manage energy demand of electric mobility. The project mainly aims to promote the use of electric vehicles in the existing regional/local transport systems of the ADRION area according to interregional common guidelines and to capitalize on experiences of already tested projects and actions by more advanced EU States. Moreover the project will develop pilot actions to test longer connections between different cities with the use of electric vehicles, by checking possible problems in the driving and charging phases. To reach the project objectives, ENERMOB involves mainly regional and local authorities that can plan and implement pilot actions and small-scale investments. Project will also focus on the implementation of coordinated strategies through the use of common technologies and standards. Within their main outputs, the project will develop a pilot model of transnational electric transport network connecting parallel local networks of electric vehicle supply equipment, in order to overcome interurban and interregional restrictions.
- Sustainable mobility, zero emissions, infrastructure improvement, development of common standards and strategies, sustainable technologies, lowering energy and pollution demands are the key synergies with CITYMOVE.
- (EN), AoE Bike Trail - Amazon of Europe Bike Trail - DANUBE - SECOND CALL FOR PROPOSALS (EN) | To develop Amazon of Europe Bike Trail as a flagship Sustainable Tourism product and Unique Brand, the Project Partnership will firstly establish the Organizational and Information System, resulting in a joint Bookable Product with clear Unique Selling Proposition of incredible Riverine Landscapes. Based on Nature-oriented Visitor Guidance, existing Cycling Routes will be equipped with commonly designed Infrastructure (resting areas, info points), resulting in more than 1000 km of a joint Bike Trail along both sides of the rivers Mura, Drava and Danube.
- Promoting green movement, multimodal mobility and eco tourism are the key synergies with CITYMOVE. (EN)

Contribution to wider strategies and policies:
- EUStrategyAdriaticIonianRegion The Action fits and contributes the overall objectives of Pillar 2 "Connecting the Region" and as a consequence it contributes also on the development and improvement on tourism sustainability and offering, as cross cutting aspect.
- The Action will strengthen and play a role in realizing the second specific objective of Pillar 2 "To develop reliable transport networks and intermodal connections with the hinterland, both for freight and passengers". In satisfying EUSAIR Pillar objective and topic, the Action intends to wider the regional cooperation that it is necessary to promote connectivity, to provide services to countries involved in the Strategy. The Action supports and accomplish innovative solutions with reduce costs, improving efficiency and contributes to smart growth of the Adriatic Ionian Basin. It is well known that Countries in the Adriatic Ionian Basin, need to modernize the transport sector, also through intermodality synergies and inovative solutions. To develop some of the indicative actions of Pillar 2 it is essential to involve stakeholders in the decision-making process through a bottom-up approach, increase awareness about the actions to improve and implement, and promote cooperation among them. In EUSAIR Region accessibility are mostly affected by tourism seasonality, the project intends to improve the present situation, implementing less use of cars and increasing use of alternative transport such is bicycle.
- EuropeanGreenDeal There are eight key areas that make up the European Green Deal and one of them is the key: "Accelerating the Shift to Sustainable and Smart Mobility".
- In 2018, the transport sector, including aviation, was responsible for one quarter of emissions in Europe. To achieve the objective of net carbon neutrality by 2050, emissions in the transport sector need to be reduced by 90%. In December 2020, the Commission proposed a Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy. The strategy is based on three pillars: 1) Make all modes of transport more sustainable, 2) Make sustainable alternatives widely available in a multi-modal transport system, 3) Put in place the right incentives to drive the transition.
- This will increase multimodal transport and reduce pollution and congestion in urban areas. Multimodal transport refers to use of different modes (or means) of transport, both in freight and passenger transport. For passengers, this could include the use of public transport, bikes and taxis.
- So, it is a very obvious link between our project in contributing the European Green Deal strategy by creating cycling and walking paths, developing innovative mobility solutions (e-bikes, public cycling system, charges, etc.), and making new ways of transport for our citizen in which they will be car-independent.
- Other National policy framework
- CITYMOVE directly contributes to the main goal of the Road Traffic Safety Improvement Strategy 2023-2030 in Montenegro (Draft), which is to achieve smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in the domain of transportation and to contribute to an efficient transportation system, which promotes the quality of life of citizens. Also directly contributes to goal 3 Resource efficient and sustainable development of Dev. Strategy FBiH 2021. – 2027. Measure 3.2.2. Reduce the negative impact of the transport sector (necessarily to prepare and implement sustainable urban mobility plans in cities). It is in line with the Nat. dev. Strat. in Croatia until 2030, Dev. Direction 3. Green and digital transition and SO.10 Sustainable mobility, a Priority area of public policies that includes promoting integrated urban transport and Transport development strategy of Croatia 2017-30 and specific measure: 4.2.1. Activity: Review/update of local/regional master plans that include preparation of appropriate master plans of functional regions (following the principles of SUMP) as well as data collection improvement through installation of the equipment and integrated new software.
- Addresses the thematic priorities of Urban Dev. Strategy of Serbia by 2030, which relate to accessibility, traffic, and urban mobility; strengthening the standard of living in urban settlements. Activities are coherent with the main national regulations on bike mobility in Italy to reach and involve national legislators through dissemination activities, Nat. plan on safe mobility CIPESS13/2022 and will complement the activities to improve the national network of bike trails. The Greece LAW No. 4784, G. Gazette A40/16-03-2021 establishes a framework for the Development of SUMP and defines the procedures for it. This law applies to Municipalities with a permanent population 30,000 residents that are obligated to commence the drafting of SUMP within 1 year from the publication of this law
- Other Local policy
- According to the Spatial and Urban Plan of the Mun of Bar, prolonged search for parking causes “disrupting traffic and drastically reducing the capacity of the road and street network”. The Study of the Public Parking System in Bar 2023, states that 41.5%population use cars to cover distances shorter than 800m. CITIMOVE directly contributes to: promoting cycling, decreasing car dependency, lowering time needed to find parking, reducing congestion.Sust. Energy and Climate A. Plan of the City of Mostar (up to 2030) states that a poor and outdated transport system leads to traffic congestion, pollution… and according to the Devel. Strategy of the City of Mostar 2022-2027. (Priority 3.3), measure "Improvement of vehicular, pedestrian, bicycle and stationary traffic" it is necessary to systematically arrange the parking system in the city area, which will be directly contributed. Aligns with the Zadar County develop. plan 2021-27 in Croatia-Measure 17.2 and Implementation program of the City of Biograd 2021-25, and the Priority 17. Establishment of new transport processes with ctivity Introduction of a smart parking control and payment system. According to the Sust Dev.t Plan of the City of Novi Pazar 2020–30, the main threats the city faces are “environmental degradation due to inadequately solved traffic issues”-is necessary to “create conditions for the development of non-motorized forms of transport” and that “cycling traffic should also be stimulated to the greatest extent.” To better define some activities envisaged in Italy GUBBIO SUMP, approved in Dec 2023, with a focus on urban mobility solutions for impaired people. The methodology used to draft the Plan will shared to PPs to get in return hints to improve the Plan itself, through implementation of pilot. In Greece, the Op Program of the Reg of Crete 2021-27, aims to enhance sustainable, climate-resilient, smart and safe intermodal mobility at regional, and local levels, while improving mobility
